It has been many years since I've been able to indulge in the joys of giant spider ownership, but I finally got another one. And for the first time ever, it's a hatchling! She's so tiny, about the size of a house spider. I say she mostly out of hope as the female of the species is heavier, stronger, and much longer lived than the male, but I'll be happy either way. I'm looking forward to watching her grow up from her current dime size.. to the size of a dinner plate. For those interested, she's a Brazilian Pink Bird Eater and can get as big as a small puppy, dinner plate, or hat. Possible pictures to follow if anyone is interested.
