It's been a month since I've made an account on Patreon and now, I know how much I'm worth in my viewers eyes. 1$.
On that note, I gave it a lot of thought and ended up giving myself an ultimatum. I have 3 months to make reach my first goal (get within 25$ of it) or I quit drawing as a whole. I'll give my characters away or auction them.

You will quit drawing as a whole if your Paetron fails? Maybe if it fails you could look for a part-time job and keep drawing and only what you like? Drawing is a beautiful thing!

I'm currently with a job, but I'm at the point where I either push further, aka become a supervisor, at which point I won't be able to draw because it will take up ALL of my time or I stick to my current state in which I'll quickly have to sell off my belongings since I won't make enough.

Though situation, hope you either get more paetrons or the supervisor position, but I get you, I have a full time job and I only draw once every new moon because I don't have much free time and when I do I'm often tired, it's a little frustating but at least its more stable I think.

Really? You're going to give up art as a whole if you can't make 275-300$ a month on it? Really kinda stupid if you ask me, just draw what you want and don't worry about it.

You see, I'm at a point where it's either I take a supervisor position, at which point I HAVE to stop drawing or I lose everything. Hence why I had to say it was an ultimatum.

Take the supervisor position. Much as I hate to say it, you're kinda late to the Patreon game and most people who were going to pledge and had the disposable income to do so are already Patrons of people who jumped on the Patreon bandwagon early. Even if you don't take commissions or do Patreon rewards, you should still keep drawing for yourself.

I think you really need to rethink your rewards. Move early access to it's own 5$ tier without patron limit and far more people will be able (and willing) to support you. 15$ is just too much and most people do not want anything except for early access.

I get it. But it wouldn't really give you much, the 15$ one at least lets you get a drawing every month too for less than a commission. Or did you mean that it was too steep of a price for you? If so, sorry... But thanks for the critiques, I'll keep it in mind moving forward... If I do.

Do not underestimate how much people care about early access if it has affordable price. If you think you won't be able to produce enough content then I you just need to make less commission tiers and focus on producing the work for early access tier. That's how most artists do it.

I agree that you should raise the lowest tier price. If $1 isn't acceptable, why not raise it? There are always people who won't pay anything but the bare minimum.
