And while I am glad they seem to be keeping the battle system pretty much the same the whole pokemon go esque catching mechanic seems kinda pointless. I mean what is the point of moves like false swipe and abilities like synchronize now? And you better hope not to miss with the one master ball you get. Well at least pokeballs aren't worth real money.... hopefully.... I really do hope there will be an option to revert back to the old catching mechanics because I actually liked battling and weakening pokemon not just chucking balls at things with gimmicky motion controls hoping to hit them and leaving it completely up to RNG like go did. and I hope to GOD that normal wild pokemon down run away like they do in go that would make shiny hunting for me just completely pointless if i couldn't guarantee a catch and they could just run away randomly, that is something that annoyed me alot that i can fail completely based on rng with little to no options to improve my chances.
And the graphics, like.... will we ever get a core pokemon game with detailed looking models? Seriously it just looks like they ripped the models straight from the 3ds games and scaled up to 1080p.
So much for having a really nice looking pokemon game *shrug* I'll probably get it anyway unless it does something more awful than making catching pokemon shitty.
