Been busy again this week with all sorts of things. This week was a little different than the past several few weeks but in a good way. Me and Professor Awesome got bored/motivated enough to make a Let's Play youtube video for the heck of it and boy was it a lot more work than I thought it was going to be...well, not so much for me but more for Professor Awesome. We had to figure out how to use about four or five programs and did so (at least to a workable extent) in just the past three days. The original plan was to record it on my computer but we had to record from Professor Awesome's computer due to my extremely crappy sound card in my computer causing some issues with audio recordings. If we continue making probably very boring videos, I may just go and switch computers with him at least until I can get a better sound card. So if you're bored and what to hear what me and Professor Awesome sound like, the link to the video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5unsXa-PObE (You'll hear Professor Awesome first and then I eventually chime in). I doubt anyone will get the "Danger D" joke as it's more of an inside joke but kudos to you if you somehow do.
In other news, my mom somehow made arrangements for a free chicken coop. Apparently a friend of hers had a chicken coop they didn't want so they intended on giving it away. I got hounded to pick it up but I knew it was a fool's errand for me at this time becuase, like I predicted, a chicken coop won't fit in a station wagon. And after all these months, my dad STILL does not have his pickup truck fixed (I believe I mentioned this in a previous journal sometime in the past) which would have been really nice to have running. He doesn't want to take it to a mechanic so he can save money by doing the repairs himself, that is if he ever decides to fix it in this lifetime. I wouldn't be surprised that even if he did get to it, the repairs might be out of his league to adequately do. So before I go pick up a chicken coop, I got to get to work at convincing my dad to take his truck to a real mechanic.
Honestly, I don't want any involvement whatsoever this year in another chicken project after last year's chicken disaster. I wasted so much time trying to get that project to work but I simply didn't have the money to invest into it and everyone else who pledged their aid and support so we could have our own eggs were much more of a hindrance than a help. My mom is really wanting to do chickens again this year but I'm not touching them or getting involved in the least if I can help it. I got better things to do with my time than waste another year stuck here tending to birds that all get eaten in by the owls and coyotes. Sure this new chicken coop might fix that problem but I've had enough of chickens for a while, at least until I own land of my own.
I haven't had a whole lot of time for art this week. I still need to root out more of my sister's belongings from the house that she refuses to retrieve even though she has moved out. If she won't pick them up herself, I guess I'll just have to spend the gas money myself and taking all her junk to her personally.
I am glad though that I managed to get a new page of Demordicai Diamonds done this week. I've been so behind last month due to housework and other stuff that it's been hard for me to find the time and energy to get to comic work. At least it's one more page closer to the end of Chapter 2 and I still have DD64 and DD65 scripted out and ready to go. Me and Professor Awesome have spent a lot of time talking about and working out a new story-arc to Demordicai Diamonds and we are almost done with the writing of it. About two to four more days of dedicated story writing and we'll have what I believe will probably be the 10th story-arc completely planned out. It may end up being the 11th or 12th arc depending on how the comic goes by the time the comic finally catches up with the story we currently have planned but that will probably be forever and a day at my current rate. If only comic work were as easy and fun as the story creation process, I'd probably have oodles of it to show by now. If I can, I do intend to at least get DD64 done next week if nothing else but I can't predict just what sort of stuff might come up that demands my attention.
I heard in the news today that Andrew Breitbart died. Man, that came as a sudden disheartening surprise, I really liked him. He was a good man, the type of guy America needs more of and not less. From what I hear, his death was very sudden and unexpected but natural though no mention on the exact cause.
So that's about all I got for this journal. I'm probably going to be busy for a few more days but I'll try to sneak in some extra art here and there if I can but I'll have to be at Professor Awesome's house to scan and upload.
