Monster Mind release notes

1.06

* Female Heracross now has correct horn shape
* New item: Creepy Heracross phone
* Bugfix: Game could crash when skipping the tug-of-war tutorial
* Bugfix: If you lost your glove, the splash screen displayed in a glitchy way
* Bugfix: If you lost your glove, and Abra was very mad at you, something weird would happen
* Fixed exploit where a specific pokemon could generate an infinite amount of hearts, and infinite revenue for their video
 * Bugfix: If you switched to Rhydon's sex toy at a weird time, jizz would continuously shoot into the air from nowhere in particular
 * Bugfix: If you troll Grovyle with some unusual names, he might offer you a blank name in return
 * Dialog fixes

* Holopads in 7-peg puzzles now remember their state, so you can swap out different colors
* Bugfix: Game could crash if critters were dropped on a holopad before starting a challenge
* Bugfix: 1.04 introduced a bug where the glove was invisible when using sex toy
* Bugfix: Switching to vibrator while Grovyle was touching himself resulted in a visual glitch
* Increased delay between challenge prompt and rank prompt
* Dialog fixes

1.04

* Save slots are now in a common location for each web site. You can now play newer versions without losing your progress or needing a password.
* Bugfix: The game would crash if you filled in the answer, and then yanked a bug out of the answer box
* Bugfix: Fixed broken necks and ghost blowjobs resulting from bugs attempting impromptu 3-ways. (You can't do that, little guys. I didn't program that in. Yes, I know, I'm sorry) This could also happen if you used the undo/redo buttons while bugs were having sex
* Bugfix: Bugs could run off of holopads if you used the undo/redo buttons while they were running around
* Bugfix: If a player dropped a bug behind the undo button, it would prevent them from pressing it
* Abra's hint dialog said some strange things if you went AFK for long periods of time, such as "You're already asking for a hint? It's only been 10 hours." It now says more sensible things if you go AFK for so long and then demand a hint
* Female Sandslash's clitoris was on the wrong side of her vagina during the dildo sequence
* Minor dialog fixes

1.02

* Fixed crashes related to too many chests opening simultaneously
* Added new "Low Detail" mode. By default, MonsterMind consumes about 600m of RAM and a lot of CPU power. This lets you turn down the visual detail, so it will only require about 250m of RAM and significantly less CPU power. It does this by reducing the number of gems, critters, and Pokemon on screen at a time.
* Added new "Safe For Work" mode. This removes all Pokemon windows from the game, as well as some edge cases where genitals were visible in chat windows. There are still naughty items and dialog, so please verify your boss's position regarding giant dildos and sexual conversations before drawing assumptions.
* Addressed a minor health issue where puzzle bugs would collapse. While this health issue is unavoidable, it has been modified to be less distressing and will no longer break minigames.
* Minor dialog improvements. Most notably, Heracross will now tell players what the Pokemon meters mean.
* Minor cosmetic fixes
* About 30 different bugfixes related to minigame edge cases, specific Pokemon interactions, crashes when entering the den.

Wow that's really impressive! I'm rank 43 but I made the game, and have practiced a LOT... also, i think i will probably fall in rank soon... ...

Aw come on, the 7 pegs are the best!  They're my favorite puzzles in the game, honestly, as they have so many strictures that you can actually sort of guess work your way through them, compared to the five peg which have enough possible solutions and half-wrongs to make long form reasoning required.

Wowwwww that's nuts! I'm really curious to see your approach to one of them. So many of them are completely unapproachable to me. I can work my way through the easier ones in 15 minutes but... If you have the puzzle keys enabled, there are multi-diamond 7-peg puzzles which take even longer! I've solved some of them with pencil and paper, but never had the patience to solve any within my game....

May i have a request for the next version?

It would be great if once we finish a puzzle, the solution and the hints stay visible for reviewing. Im not the best in the more peg puzzles but if i could toggle this in the options maybe it could help me to find better strategy instead of randomly putting in bugs while asking for hints.

I'll think about something like that. You're the first to ask for it, and I don't want to put another option in the options menu for just one person!

If you're trying to learn your way through solving puzzles deductively, you might try Grovyle's other tutorials, or check out the #puzzle_help channel in the Monster Mind discord server

It's awesome that you continue to refine and release more support for the game <3 I'm only rank 29, time to jump back into it! I'm sure my boy Rhydon's getting pent up anyway >:)

That's aaaaaabsolutely nuts anyways, man. I just fell to rank 42. Ha ha. I'm baffled that anybody gets that high

The 7-peg puzzles unlock if you go through the 5-peg tutorial. They're mostly a joke, they're very very hard and unfun.... for me anyways. ha! ha!

This was a fun puzzle to program a solution for.
I've actually been working on mastermind type puzzles for a while now but never got to finishing a solution for em.
But this game was the kick I needed to get off my lazy bum and actually finish figuring out how to program it.
I'm sure there's more efficient ways than going through all possibilities and checking if the rules match, but I don't really care lol.
It's already really responsive so I didn't wanna bother myself.

If I may. I have it up on my CodePen if anyone is interested c;
(You hover over the boxes and click the numbers on the keyboard to change the number in the box)
(The last two numbers on the right are the number of Red Hearts and White Hearts)
(Hopefully the GUI is as easy to use as I thought it should be. Coding Proper html/javascript is hard)

can I make a suggestion? Is it possible to make it so the player can turn off bonus coins? I love the game for its awesome characters and dialog but I really don't like the bonus coins because one can just come in and be like "oh are you having a nice conversation with so and so? Well fuck you it's mini-game time!"

Bonus coins will never interrupt consequential dialog. But, thank you that is an interesting suggestion.

It looked... really bad. Like a visit from an invisible Manneken Pis. ...It was not a good look.
