I wonder why some creators do these dramatic shut downs without explaining anything, as if writing a couple of extra sentences would shatter time and space like in a Marvel movie.
Don't get me wrong, they're under no obligation to elaborate on their own private affairs! But what kind of situation calls for these drastic measures? And how would vaguely informing us of the ordeal make it worse?
Are they being threatened by malevolent bullies to stay silent? Are they facing legal charges and cannot disclose any information? - On account of their art? On account of something they did?
Maybe they got into a new business venture and need some time off! Or maybe their lives took a deep dive, and they're in a serious need of a hiatus to cleanse the mind. No closure, no vague idea of what's going on, nuffin'.
