I was having a lot of trouble with the way i previously had things set up, i was doing about 3x as much work as before i set up my Patreon, yet earning about just as much. Only difference was that i had a set amount that i would earn- but still not worth ALL the work i had to do to get those rewards done and out the door.
So here i have my new system, less work for me, and all my supporters still get art. It works on a queue loop. Depending on what tier you pledge to, you'll be entered in a queue to get art. A 3/6 queue (for example) would mean that each month, 3 out of the 6 supporter in that tier will get art, and then the next month the remaining 3 will get theirs, so on and so forth. Pledge to a higher tier, and the more likely you are to get that art faster, along with the other benefits that come with higher tiers which include: - Access to my Discord server - Hi-res versions of Patreon supporter art - Commission priority queue (so if you commission me, you'll get your art first) - Sweet discounts on commissions
So hopefully this will go well, and i wont be working my hand to the bone at the beginning of next month xvx
Question - How do you account for new additions to said queue? Let's say that you start out with ten people, so five per month. Month two, two people join. Will you put those two in the current month, so they get their sketches "immediately"? Will you put them in the following month? If lots of people join on odd months, will you keep it lopsided or try and even it out? If you haven't thought about it yet, perhaps use a random number generator for the patrons?
Edit: I'm an idiot. You mean that's the maximum number of people you'll allow in that tier, don't you |3
