Hello. It's been a while since my last journal so here's a new one :)
I'm just wondering if someone has HTC Vive or similar which can be used to view 360 degree videos? My upcoming (Unless the Sun explodes before that) animation project is supposed to be 360 PoV video and would be good to have someone test it on better tools than my shitty google cardboard :P I haven't rendered it yet but when I do I could send it to someone who can test it and give feedback if there's something fucked up. Besides the animation's contents, of course :) (Animation errors are of obviously fine to point out)
All you have to do is refrain from sharing it anywhere. I will then release the final version when it's done.
Also if someone has done similar things would be nice to hear the best way to do various things. Such as how to deal with the camera positioning etc. Now I've hidden the "player" character's head and render from the area where the eyes are supposed to be. It does look a bit odd.
And in case someone is wondering, the animation will be my "new" rat girl's first time in the hands of the male otter (you) who isn't very gentle. :)
Was considering an actual vr game so you could view the action from every direction but my character rigs use semi-advanced Blender systems which can't be moved into unity. (I might try to export the whole thing as vertex animation. Not sure if that will work though. But that'll be after the video version is done if at all)
Also if you know someone who might be interested in making sounds for the animation let me know.
