It appears that somebody had purchased a brand new copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Game Gear in March... according to point-of-sale data collected from several national retailers. I tend to favor the theory that the 26 year-old cartridge was bought at a soon-to-be-closed Toys R Us store... it was probably discovered in a dusty, forgotten corner of a backroom, brushed off and put among the marked-down merchandise. Weird...
