Sup folks Lastik here plotting the next step of this crazy trip. The short of it is that I’m gonna focus a bit on SFW stuff and my own OCs.
- First, gonna get back to the zootopia/animal crossing pic and finish it. The Daena pic was only meant to be a “quick” unrust and it kinda got out of hand lol
- Next I’m gonna do some studying regarding some artists I love. I want to up my game, especially in regards to fantasy illustration. Need to improve my character design, posing, background design, texture work and so on. I’ve always had the fantasy bug (which is one of the reasons I love Freya, Katt and Daena so much), but its been specially strong of late, given both my skill up and that I’ve been more active in the D&D world (got invited to a 2nd campaign even).
-Regarding my OCs, it’s more of an afterthought, I spend so much time doing fanart I hardly have any creations of my own. It’s not just furry stuff either, it also ties to the section above. I mean I play as a dwarven cleric on one campaign and gonna play as a halfling sorcerer in the other and I don’t even have pics of them. My campaign mate (and childhood friend) is also on the same boat, he plays a half-elf barbarian which is a combo that doesn’t show up often in illustrations either.
In order to make this happen, been gathering up resources, like artbooks (Overwatch, Diablo 3, D3: Reaper of Souls, Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, Mysts of Pandaria, MtG: Amunketh, ton of capcom artbooks), RPG books like the 5th edition PHB, SCAG, Xanathar’s, as well as Warhammer Battletomes, and of course a freaking trillion images (which I have yet to organize)from artists I love like Joe Madureira, Jerome Jacinto, Karla Ortiz and Bayard Wu among others.
The Lastik as a lot of work ahead, and dammit I can’t wait!
