Not usually. Only when I am locked in some sort of long animation (i.e., getting out of a vehicle). Even then, I am a patient person when it comes to games, especially FPSes.

Rushing in with reckless abandon doesn't (always) work in Fallout. You need very good weapons and armor to pull off stuff like that. In Fallout 3 and New Vegas, sniping from long to extreme range seems to work especially well, particularly with any rifle weapon from the Small Guns and Energy Weapons skills.

The Laser Rifle -- and the Gauss Rifle, if you can find it -- are very good for sniping with a common enough ammunition pool. The Varmint Rifle can go a little ways for sniping, too, but there will be better weapons than that shortly. Stealth is your friend. Deathclaws are not and unless you're like Level 20, avoid them like the plague.

Mm, cool! I missed the kickstarter on it, but I have really high hopes for it. I loved the previous games the company made, and the Battletech setting is just... cool. I need to get some giant mechs into Poly's setting.
