Updates, catching up, and 3000 watchers

Oof... This has been a terrible art-week for me. I haven't been able to do any drawing at work (even at lunch), and while I've had time after work (even got to stream a couple times) I missed a couple days because I wanted to watch ANOTHER artist stream whom I haven't been able to see in a long time. And then I started playing "Inside" and that wasted another couple nights... So, basically, this evening and tomorrow are going to be busy for me while I try to finish this week's page.

And then there's the 3000 watcher picture I need to finish. Funny story about that. You see, when I hit 2k, I was caught a little unprepared and whipped up that milestone drawing in one night. Well, I decided I wasn't going to let the next milestone get the drop on me like that. So I had actually sketched out the silly comic thing I was going to use to commemorate the 3k mark and just work on it as time allowed... Then I got to 2500 followers and the number started to stall out. By 2700, I figured I'd hit a wall and there was no rush to finish it. Then after that last few sketch-dumps, that number jumped to 2900 and I was under the gun and unprepared... So I have it (partially) inked. I really want to get that finished after this page and before Monday. (I have a couple Patreon portraits to finish and then a piece of fan art...)

Many of you may have noticed some replies to comments that are over a week old. Yeah, sorry about taking so long on that. But like I've said before, I like to read every comment I get. If I didn't reply to something you said, that doesn't mean I ignored it. I love reading all comments!

And now, a little bit of (possibly) bad news. Not next week, but the following (the week of the 15th) I might have to go to one of the branch offices for a few days. That's bad because I won't be able to get ANY art done during that time as I'll likely be working my ass off. And, because that's a "comic week," I'll likely miss the deadline for that page. I'll know more next week. IF it looks like I'm going to have to go, then I'll try really hard to have the next page done next week so we don't end up with a two-week gap. However, it's not ALL bad. I've been wanting to flip-flop my off and comic weeks anyway. (As it is right now, the weekends of my comic week are the same as when family comes over and eats into my art time. I'd really rather that happen in my off week...)

And finally, my Patreon reached the $100 milestone! What does that mean? Well, my first goal was to create a more rigid streaming schedule. (As opposed to the 'announce 5 minutes ahead of time' method I'm using now.) So I'll be figuring out what days are best for me and get it set in stone so everyone will know when to expect a stream from me.

I think that covers just about everything to the now. That's quite a wall of text...

Hey, don't push yourself against the wall, dude, please chill a bit. We're not rushing you anywhere. ^^;
I feel bad for you feeling like someone's going to punish you for not posting "in time", there's no deadlines when you draw something that's not a paid comission. And even when it's paid, art's not something you can make any day, sometimes artist just doesn'tfeel like doing stuff. Especially when they're also working constantly.
So, relax, please and congratulations on 3k peeps! You're doing lovely arts! ^w^ b

Don't burn yourself out trying to please a bunch of us pervs on the internet.
Some furs don't understand that real life comes first, especially if art is not your main source of income.
I personally am content with waiting a few days for a quality piece of art with a solid story, rather than something that looks and feels rushed just because "it is expected".

"Don't burn yourself out trying to please a bunch of us pervs on the internet"

That sentence should be framed.
You already stated that because of "reasons" your rate of publishing art was going to be delayed, which is completely understandable, and of course the fact that this isn't your main income source, makes it totally fine if there's going to be delays in the future... I mean, if people like BlackKitten sometimes disappear for months or maintain low activity and everybody is still fine with it, there shouldn't be a problem.

Take a few days off and have fun!

Your fan can wait for your arts a few more days, there are no rush for you to stream every time you have time.

Think of yourself before so you can be ready and relax to stream. Commissions can also wait a few days.

As much as I'd like to take a few days off, my self-nagging won't let me. :P

Work is a real pain in the butt at times, getting in the way of real life and all that, lol.
I think all us hard workers understand man. Do lots of napkin doodles at work at least, keep your skills sharp! :D

I agree with what Jerry says too, but not for the willing-to-wait-for-quality reason, I just want to see you take care of yourself~
