Stolen Debit Card ;_;

Sorry for my lack of activity and so sorry that I still have 5 unread notes, I'm trying really hard to get over this weird anxious feeling of not knowing how to respond...

Today is shit. Yesterday my other half accidentally left his card in the ATM and some ass hole decided to take it and go on a shopping spree with it. Luckily we got it canceled and will be getting it figured out but I'm really trying to calm down, I'm mostly calm, I just have a knot in my chest and all.. I've never had anything like this happen to me so I'm really shaken up and upset. Forgive me for my slowness... I'm really fucking sorry ;---;

Hopefully your bank has protections from unauthorized purchases for you. I had this happen once myself and SO glad mine did. Although I had it shut down in about an hour they managed to almost empty my account.

I'm so sorry that happened to you and yours. That's the reason I hate it when I use my debit card and they don't ask for my P.I.N. But, if your bank is like mine, you should be able to get them to not only cancel the card but, tentatively refund the money you lost until they investigate and verify the situation you describe is correct.

Yeah, I got the card canceled, and luckily my sister works at my bank and shouldn't be about getting the refund, it's just so upsetting that someone would do this :/ I already had little faith in humanity and this is just crippling

I don't care what a lot of people say and believe. I believe that most people are inherently bad and it's laws that keep most of them honest for the most part. How else can you explain all those people out there who hack computers to steal information for their own personal usage? But, I'm glad that everything seems to be going all right for you where this situation is concerned now.

Dooks, this happens to alot of people and I am glad that you cancelled the card, though getting the money back will be... Kinda hard since there are multiple steps the company has to take. Along with attempting to locate the guy via camera footage when they have the Matching time per transaction

When I use my credit/debit card I make sure that I confirm with myself with putting it away in my wallet. I have lost a card or 2 at the movie theater but, I acted quick enough to disable the card

(2 days later I get a call from the Methuen Police Department saying they had my missing debit card so I went down to the station and got it back and well I cut it up at home and threw it into a shredder [to be sure]. Come to find out the guy attempting to purchase a 20,000 car with a multitude of cards he swiped from unsuspecting people and he almost got away with it but, since I disabled/cancelled my card it prevented him from completing the transaction along with it flagged he got arrested)

Some people do the STUPIDEST things and I tell you. Nothing surprises me anymore

I am so so sorry to hear this happened to you. Glad you canceled the card//cards. I must say though the Weird thing is today I went to my bank to check my balance and a guy in front of me left his atm card in the machine and was just about to get in his car without it when I managed to get his attention. He was on his phone... Not to be mean to those who have done this but come on your asking for trouble...

Anyways hope you get your money back.

Yeah DX He just wasn't paying attention. and unfortunately the person who found it had no desire to be a good person and take it inside. Cause it was a drive-thru atm u-u Idk I guess just cause of the person I am I would never want to make someone else suffer financially just because they fucked up and left their card. But good for you for being a good person and making sure they didn't leave it, there's a lot to be said for it that's for sure.
