I mainly want to become a better artist in order to draw comics. You can see some examples a little ways down in my gallery, and I'll post another one next week. (Note to the Inkbunny people, not everything is posted yet.) However, working toward a doctorate in physics takes up most of my time, leaving less for art -- and my obsessive and moody personality means that a simple comic is, for me, a big undertaking. So, I like to have some less serious, but not trivial, drawing for practice outside of comics. As it happens, drawing strangers fits that need exactly. Thus this offer! If you leave a request here before the end of Furry Fiesta (that is, before the end of Sunday, local time), I'll give you a free drawing. Here are the various details:
Please give me details on one or more characters. If you have a written description or reference sheet, send them to me.
Everything else about the drawing -- medium, style, content, level of detail -- is up to me.
Don't request a drawing if you've already received one from me.
Also, if you're a friend, acquaintance, or someone I'm watching, please don't request a drawing of yourself.
You can request a drawing of someone else, though, if it's noone I know.
I'll try to finish one drawing per week, but there are many things that could interfere. Maybe I'll be talked into giving a conference presentation, maybe I'll get depressed for a month, or maybe there will be many people ahead of you on the list. Don't expect promptness.
I'm not going to put a cap on the number of requests I take. Hopefully that's not unwise.
I might not check this journal until I'm back from the convention, since I don't want to be distracted from con-related adventures. *smiles* Thank you for the time, all.
Also, if anyone knows how to do unordered lists here, let me know!
