i saw other articles that was updated today that said people working with hawkings had confirmed he was still alive. but i suppose this time it was actually happening. very sad to see him gone. may he rest among the stars.

The first science book I had outside of school was a tie, as my dad got me A Brief History of Time, about the same time I got Asimov's New Guide to Science, introducing me to both Stephen Hawking and Isaac Asimov in one fell swoop.
