Texas Furry Fiesta
This was a great adventure!!! AMAZING!! When we wanted to buy the flight tickets, we realized that they were more expensive than we thought, so we made a B plan that worked out great: traveling to Monterrey, NL, visiting a friend, and driving with them to Dallas, TX. In the van we were Yvette, Aramis, Koidel, David and me. It's very particular to talk about David, who didn't know what kind of event we were going specifically, he only knew that he would take us to a comic convention, but he had no idea anything about the furry fandom. When he found about this whole world, and also were at the convention in person, he was so excited that on the trip back to Monterrey he was very curious and passionate about the whole furry theme, and even he had already decided what his fursona would be. He's a lion!
TFF was a great convention, very fun, full of friends, lots of fun times, great experiences, unforgettable moments, and many more descriptions that sound very empty but in reality have a lot of meaning.
Again, it would be very difficult to mention absolutely all the people I saw in the event, it would be a very long journal, and probably I can forget someone and I will regret it a lot. What I can say is that I shared a room with two guys whose first furry convention was precisely this one. Frits Rabbit and Sander the black cat. Both great friends, very shy at first, but fortunately they had a great time, and very nice to room with them, they're sweet persons.
We broadcast a live stream instead of our usual podcast called "Viernes Furry". Almost at the end of the broadcast, Majira Strawberry dragged me to a party in a suite, which was where we finished the stream (If you want to watch the video, here's the link, but most of it is in spanish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBjluPaBXrE). And many asked me what happened next. Well, it didn't really happen much later, we were taking a while with them, Majira put us in a shower, and opened it by accident, another friend arrived who was already very drunk and doesn't remember anything about that evening. And then I went down to the dance and started jumping and hoping to the rythm of the music.
I made several new friends, it was nice to see friends from past conventions, friends I made from last year's TFF, and there was , as is usual at every furry con, creepeers, people who are scary and who chase me everywhere. But it was great!! I love TFF, I want to go back next year!
Tour in Mexico
I just returned from the trip to Dallas and Monterrey, I gave a step at my house, I washed my clothes and that same day I traveled to Mexico City, I didn't even spend a whole day in my house. I was in Mexico City for some few days and in a few weeks I was going to be traveling to different parts of my country. This will happen next week, a trip with friends in different places, sightseeing and showing them the most beautiful of the culture of Mexico. On this trip we are going Kyle Summer (better known as Majira Strawberry), Dixie, Fox Amoore, Ed Puma, Kurtt Amarok and me. Surely it will be very cool, soon there will be more details of exactly what will happen.
Furnal Equinox.
The tour in Mexico will conclude with a flight to Toronto. It will be my third time in Canada, preparing my tummy for putine and Tim Hortons. My second time at Furnal Equinox, ready to adapt my body from extreme heat to imminent cold. In this convention I will only have one day of artists alley, one Saturday to fursuite almost all day, and one Sunday with a very particular contest to which a certain zebra enrolled me.
Remember that I always get very excited when someone recognizes me, comes over to say hi, hug me, take pictures, talk with them for a while. I am the same, I also love to see someone I admire, a fursuit that I like, get close to them, say hello, maybe take a picture with them, do a little talk, and let them continue with what they were doing. Do not be shy, it makes me very sad when someone writes to me on the internet that they saw me at a convention but they were very shy to come over and say hello. But remember that you must always be respectful! Avoid being the creeper who follows me everywhere and who looks out for my privacy, there should always be a balance. Let's continue supporting the positive attitude that the furries we must have with other furries!!
Artists Alley
As I mentioned before, I will only have a table on Friday during the convention, March 16th. One of the few opportunities to have a commission by me. This time there will be no commissions to do at home, since I already have many pending, projects and paid work that I must finish at home, I don't want to inflate me more. So those that I will receive at the convention, will be the only ones. This time I will take 5 commissions to work on during the convention. So if you are interested, come quickly to the table on Friday as soon as the artists alley opens its doors to the public.
Here are some recommendations if you plan to attend Furnal Equinox and are interested in a commission by me:
►It must be simple ideas, no backgrounds or a whole scene. I promise that I will have a great job for you anyway. Extra characters will be extra charged.
►Be thinking of a good idea to work, if you don't have one, you can leave it up to me and I can suggest a good pose for your character.
►Prepare your reference sheet (you can bring regular pictures of your character, it doesn't matter if it's not a profer reference sheet), but preferably it should be printed. You never have to trust the internet of the place, it's not advisable that you give me your gallery of FA so that from there I take the reference of your character. If you couldn't print your references, don't worry, you can have them saved on your cell phone and share them either by bluetooth or I can take a picture on your screen.
►I like very much to draw in sketchbooks, but don't worry if you don't have one. I also have sheets that I can give you. What I don't have is how to protect your drawing when I give it to you later on the separated sheet, so if that is the case, get a folder or something to keep your drawing safe.
►Very strictly I will only accept 5 commissions, no more. They almost always fill up in the first few minutes, so you go to the line as early as possible on Friday to be able to have a high chance of reaching a place on my queue.
Cutthroat artist
BCBreakaway had insisted me for about a year that he wanted me to see participating in this artist contest. They arde 4 rounds, each round lasts 10 minutes and in each there is a challenge (for example, draw a badge for someone in the audience). At the end of each round, a judge eliminates a competitor. The interesting thing is that during each round, there are 1 or 2 sabotages that are up for auctions. Each artist starts with a certain amount of money (fake money, only for the contest) and this money can be used to bid in the auction and to buy sabotage for one or more of the competitors (sabotages can be such as drawing with the left hand (or the right hand if the artist is left handed), draw with the canvas upside down, and so on). The final only remains between two artists.
For this edition, the competitors will be Anyare, Cat-Monk Shiro, Underbite dragon and me. If you want to attend, in addition to having fun, you have the chance of having a drawing made by the competing artists (completely free).

Texas Furry Fiesta
Toda una gran aventura. Cuando quisimos comprar los boletos de avión, nos dimos cuenta que eran más caros que lo que creíamos, por lo que hicimos un plan B que nos salió de maravilla: viajar a Monterrey, NL, visitar a una amiga, e irnos con ellos manejando hasta Dallas, TX. Y así ocurrió! En la camioneta íbamos Yvette, Aramis, Koidel, David y yo. Es muy particular hablar sobre David, quien no sabía a qué tipo de evento íbamos específicamente, solo tenía sabido que nos llevaría a una convención de cómics, pero no sabía nada del tema del furry fandom. Al enterarse de todo este mundo, y además vivir la convención en carne propia, se emocionó tanto que en el viaje de regreso se sentía muy curioso y apasionado por todo el tema de los furries, e incluso él mismo ya había decidido qué sería su fursona.
TFF fue una gran convención, muy divertida, llena de amigos, muchos ratos muy divertidos, grandes experiencias, momentos inolvidables, y muchas más descripciones que se escuchan muy vanales pero que en realidad tienen mucho significado.
Nuevamente, sería muy difícil mencionar a absolutamente todas las personas que vi en el evento, se volvería un post muy largo, y probablemente alguien se me pueda olvidar y me lo lamentaré mucho. Lo que sí puedo decir es que compartí cuarto con dos chicos cuya primer convención furry fue precisamente esta. Frits Rabbit y Sander the black cat. Ambos grandes amigos, muy tímidos al principio, pero que afortunadamente se la pasaron en grande.
Transmitimos un stream en vivo en vez de nuestro habitual podcast llamado "Viernes Furry", en el cual muchos pudieron ver la aparición, casi al final de la transmisión, de Majira Strawberry, quien me arrastró a una fiesta en una suite, que fue donde acabó el video. (Si quieren ver el video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBjluPaBXrE ). Y muchos me preguntaron que qué pasó después. No pasó mucho después en realidad, estuvimos tomando un rato con ellos, Majira nos metió en una regadera, y la abrió por accidente, llegó otro amigo el cual ya estaba muy ebrio y no recuerda nada sobre ese día. Y después yo bajé al baile y me puse a saltar al ritmo de la música.
Hice varios nuevos amigos, fue bonito ver amigos de convenciones pasadas, amigos que hice desde TFF del año pasado, y no faltaron los clásicos creepeers, personas que dan miedo y que persiguen a uno por todos lados. Genial!! Amé TFF, quiero volver a ir el próximo año!
Tour por México
Apenas regresé del viaje a Dallas y Monterrey, toqué mi casa, lavé ropa y ese mismo día viajé a la ciudad de México, ni si quiera estuve un día completo en mi casa. Y apenas llevaba unos cuantos días en la Ciudad de México y en unas semanas más ya iba a estar viajando a diferentes partes de la república mexicana. Esto ocurrirá la próxima semana, un viaje de amigos por diferentes lugares, turisteando, mostrando lo más bello de la cultura de México. En este viaje vamos Kyle Summer (mejor conocido como Majira Strawberry), Dixie, Fox Amoore, Ed Puma, Kurtt Amarok y yo. Seguramente estará muy cool, próximamente habrá más detalles de qué ocurrirá exactamente.
Furnal Equinox.
El viaje del tour por México concluirá con un vuelo rumbo a Toronto. Será mi tercera vez en Canadá, preparando mi estómago nuevamente para el putine y Tim Hortons. Mi segunda vez en Furnal Equinox, listo para adaptar mi cuerpo del calor extremo al frío inminente. En esta convención solo tendré un día de artists alley, un sábado para furuitear casi todo el día, y un domingo con un concurso muy particular al que me inscribieron.
Recuerden que siempre me emociona mucho cuando alguien me reconoce, se acerca para saludarme, abrazarme, tomarme fotos, platicar un rato con ellos. Yo soy igual, también me encanta ver a alguien a quien admiro, un fursuit que me gusta, acercarme a ellos, saludarlos, tal vez tomarme una foto con ellos, hacer un poco de charla, y dejar que continúen con lo que estaban haciendo. No sean tímidos, me da mucha tristeza cuando alguien me escribe por internet que me vieron en una convención pero les dio mucha vergüenza acercarse y decirme hola. Pero recuerden que siempre deben de ser respetuosos!! Eviten ser el creeper que me sigue a todos lados y que atenta con mi privacidad, siempre debe de haber un balance. Sigamos apoyando la actitud positiva que los furries debemos tener con otros furries!!
Artists Alley
Como ya mencioné antes, únicamente tendré mesa el día viernes de la convención, 16 de marzo. Una de las pocas oportunidades de tener una comisión por mí. Esta vez no habrá comisiones para hacer en casa, puesto que ya tengo muchos pendientes, proyectos y trabajos pagados que debo de terminar en casa, no quiero inflarme de más. Así que los que recibiré en la convención, serán los únicos. Esta vez tomaré 5 comisiones, exclusivos para trabajarse en el tiempo de la convención. Así que si están interesados, lleguen rápido a la mesa el día viernes en cuanto el artists alley abra sus puertas al público.
Aquí algunas recomendaciones si planeas atender a Furnal Equinox y estás interesado en un dibujo por mí:
►Deben de ser ideas simples, no tengas en mente un fondo o toda una escena. Prometo que de todos modos tendré para tí un trabajo genial. Personajes extras serán cargados adicionalmente.
►Ve pensando en una buena idea para trabajarte, si no tienes una, puedes dejarlo libre y yo puedo sugerir una buena pose para tu personaje.
►Prepara tu hoja de referencia ( puedes llevar imágenes de tu personaje, no importa si no es apropiadamente una hoja de referencia), pero de preferencia que esté impresa. Nunca hay que confiar en el internet del lugar, no es recomendable que me des tu galería de FA para que de ahí yo saque la referencia de tu personaje. Si no pudiste imprimir referencias, puedes tenerlas guardadas en tu celular y compartirmelas ya sea por bluetooth o que yo le tome una fotografía a tu pantalla.
►Me gusta mucho dibujar en sketchbooks, pero no te preocupes si no tienes uno. Yo también llevo hojas que te puedo entregar. Lo que no tengo es cómo proteger tu dibujo cuando te lo entrego en una hoja, así que si ese es el caso, consigue un folder o algo donde mantener tu dibujo a salvo.
►Muy estrictamente solo aceptaré 5 comisiones, no más. Casi siempre se llenan en los primeros minutos, así que formate lo más temprano posible el día viernes para poder tener una alta posibilidad de alcanzar un lugar en mi lista.
Cutthroat artist
BCBreakaway me había insistido desde hace alrededor de un año que quería verme participar en este concurso de artistas. Un concurso de 4 rounds. Cada round dura 10 minutos y en cada uno hay un reto (por ejemplo, dibujar un badge para alguien en la audiencia). Al final de cada round, un juez eliminará a un competidor. Lo interesante es que en cada round, hay de 1 a 2 sabotages que se hacen por medio de subastass. Cada artista empieza con una cierta cantidad de dinero (dinero falso, únicamente para el concuros) y este dinero lo pueden usar para ofertar en la subasta y poder comprar un sabotaje para uno o más de los competidores (los sabotajes pueden ser tal como dibujar con la mano izquierda (o la opuesta a la que el artista está acostumbrado a dibujar), dibujar con el lienzo de cabeza, y así). La final solo queda entre dos artistas.
Para esta edición, los competidores seremos Anyare, Cat-Monk Shiro, Underbite dragon y yo. Si quieren asistir, además de divertirse, tienen la posibilidad de llevarse dibujos hechos por los artisas competidores (completamente gratis).
Si van a Furnal Equinox, no se pierdan de este panel, será el domingo 18 de marzo a la 1pm en el Bay Room.
Seguramente perderé en la primer ronda, pero será divertido intentarlo.
Canal de Telegram
Casi nunca checo internet en mis viajes, y a veces se me olvida actualizar mis redes sociales. Pero hay algo que siempre uso por ser de muy fácil acceso, y es Telegram.
