there is a possibility from a line the nugules bad guy says to gigabyte "and the fact that they called him gigabyte and not megabyte" that the others might show up...Bob possibly anyway...but... I dont think thats enough to fix this?

the real actors are bad enough the android.. cyber programe..girl is even worse...she is horrible...im not sure with all these DRASTIC departures they could save it by resurrecting the origenal cast.

Yeah this is a tragedy. Also this is a Netflix original series right? That...that is giving me all kinds of worry for the supposed Netflix version of Saint Seiya, one of my all time favorite animes

theres a chance from a VERY short line in the trailer this is a DIRECT squal to reboot, and we might get the origenal cast and stuff at some point but even THAT might not be enough to make up for this weirdness.

so much wrong with it.. like WHY are they REAL humans inside CGI suits... the CGI suits make SENCE for them being inside a computer...and it explains why there body types are all suddenly so different... so WHY THE FUCK ARE THE CUTTING TO IRL ACTOS FACES INSIDE SUITS!!!!

those would be there AVATARS... they wouldent have FACES!!! they would just be whatever they look like in the system XD

So here's my two cents: I've seen worse trailers for better looking TV shows and movies, but damn this looks rather mediocre and forgettable. The live action bits are not a death knell for the series, but it looks like that the like action portions overtake the CG animation bits (which is what people were looking forward to seeing the most) by a lot. The problem with the live action portions come from the fact that it looks about as cookie cutter, generic, TeeNick/Disney tween, high school drama imaginable.

The CG animation doesn't look anything too special or incredibly advanced, which isn't bad in itself, but they don't even attempt to update or make memorable redesigns of MegaByte, any of the other characters shown, or the Net in general. It might be a reboot of the first completely 3D CG cartoon series, but that legacy came from its imaginative alien setting of the Net and Mainframe and colorful cast of characters on top of its then impressive animation. The fact that the trailer shows off very little of the digital parts, and what is shown doesn't appear to be anything memorable, is what sorta kills any faith I had that the series will be good or at least serviceable.

With that said, despite my personal history with ReBoot and several of the other series the creators made, I still have morbid curiosity of how bad or boring the series could actually be. Once the series is released, I will be willing to stomach at least the first episode just to see how bad it could get. Worse comes to worse, Netflix will likely have licensed the original ReBoot like they license the original series of any reboots or continuations they release, and I'll just watch that instead.

the problem is not that it looks like it might be a BAD one... and boy oh BOY does it ever!

the problem is it's not a reboot of reboot.. it's not even a reimagining.. it's a completly DIFFERENT fucking thing, thats just stolen the name and one of the bad guys....thats about it... everything we liked about reboot is gone..

there is the slightist possability this is a continuation and Dot an Enzo ect might show up...but im pretty fucking blown away by the incredably low production value and bad acting allready.

I'm not even that big a fan of ReBoot and this upsets me! They basically threw out the entire premise of the original show in favor of "Tron: Legacy meets Mech-X4 meets Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad", with the only thing they keep being the highly outdated CGI!

In a lot of ways, this reminds me of the live-action Jem and the Holograms movie, whose first trailer also upset me for throwing out the basic premise despite me not being a fan at the time (since then, I have watched Seasons 1, 2, and the first few episodes of 3 after so many fans said how great the series was, and I have actually become a fan, so I guess that's one good thing that movie did :P )

...why do they have to involve live-action when the source material was 100% CG? Why not have all (or most) of the original characters rather than (seemingly) removing them? At least then you'd get some interest from the fans of the original series.

I didn't even make it through the trailer; lost interest about half way through. ~_~;
