Looking for an old movie...

by
This was a movie that played on TV when I was a kid, I only saw a short piece of it but it left a deep impression on me.

The scene was this: there location was some kind of factory with industrial machinery working. Two guys were fighting at the edge of platform, as they struggle with each other they both roll and fall down inside the machine. In the next scene a woman is working in front of a conveyor belt. As the belt moves it starts to carry blood, apparently meaning it was from the men who had been smashed by the machine.

At the moment my mom made me go to my room because the movie was obviously not appropriated for my age.

This has to be a movie from the 1970s because I may have been around 7 at the time. It could be a an American or European movie.

I have asked before in many places and nobody remembers any movie that contains such a scene.

Every time I ask I get the same three false leads, so lets discard those beforehand.

It's not a comedy from the 1980s where people are turn into ground beef in a factory. This didn't look like a comedy (and if it was, it got to be a fucking dark one) and the deaths were obviously accidental, not the usual business of the factory.

It's not the Pink Floyd video. I have seen the video and it has little in common with the scene I saw. I don't understand why so many people suggest that video every time I mentions this.

It's not Soylent Green. I have seen that movie too. In the scene I saw people were turn into a bloody paste, not little green crackers.

So anyone has any idea what movie is that?

Even at 7 I would know the difference between an early century silent movie and a contemporary one.
And I have seen all versions of Metropolis, I even have a character inspired by it. It's not that one.

Well it was a thought dear.

Let me know when you find out what it was.

The movie doesn't ring a bell, but out of curiosity I tried doing some google searches using some of the information you provided. The one result that keeps coming up consistantly is the Wikipedia page for Carl Stalling, so I can only assume what you saw was Looney Tunes.

I'll keep looking, at any rate. Anything else you can remember?

I have searched a lot over years and got nothing. I suspect it was an European movie (probably East European) because if it was American someone would have seen it and I have asked a lot around lots of movie fan message boards and such.

Some of the special effects from the 80's are so bad, they might as well be comedies.  Temple of Doom comes to mind.  When the bad guy gets squished by the giant roller, you can clearly see the actor is just being lowered behind a bar.  Gets me every time.  8)

I miss the old time cheesy effects. As compared with today cheesy CGI effects.

Thanks, but even if it's there, how I'm going to find it? I have no idea what the poster looks like and unless that particular scene is mentioned in the description I'd be lost.
