Youtube and the paradox of Capitalist SJWs

by
Didn't know what to label this one - but I figured I would make a journal about this. I should note I'm not calling capitalists sjws, but the alt-right seem to be.

Basically youtube's ad thing is often painted as an sjw measure against all reason and logic. To this I ask, does that mean capitalism is a social justice ideology? And if so, does that mean that the right now OPPOSE capitalism?

That might seem 'dishonest' to say, if you are unfamiliar with the definition and use the word as a meaningless slander against anyone who says something that makes you uncomfortable, but I think its fair to ask.

The youtube demonetization and changes to terms of service and guidelines were not made to conform to some standard of social justice or in line with social liberalism, but purely driven by economic interests in line with the current economic system that we have. Advertisers, from companies, are given a wide range of tools by which to punish content creators based on their whims and the guidelines are setup to try to get a target audience that is; large, dedicated, and willing to be satisfied with a more corporate content lineup. As far as I can tell this is just another example of pinning a problem with a system YOU helped create onto someone who had nothing to do with it. Everything about the new system is geared towards profit; politics on the left and right happen to be touchy subjects and therefore less profitable, the same for gore or swear words or anything that might subtract from the user base that youtube wishes to get. Turning this into a left vs right thing for your own personal gain is sickening and isn't going to solve the issue. You can't just invent a problem and then invent a solution to your invented problem, life doesn't and has never worked like that.

I'm not sure where this notion came from - where the first shot was fired and whose ass it was shot out of, but its complete garbage. There is a lot more to it than just this too, like specific 'examples' of this 'sjwism' but I'd rather handle that case by case rather than turning this into a dissertation. I merely wanted to throw my input in on this matter.

About SJWs...

When the ones calling people sjws are themselves acting how they define an sjw to be I'd say people hardly even know what their opinions are.

Is this in response to a video that a popular youtuber posted after  visiting a suicide island?

No, I wasn't aware he was a frog-fucker as well as an asshole as I don't watch his videos even to figure out the full extent of his childish asshattery (I'm not sure who visits a forest for suicide for 'fun').
This is a response to the people who believe youtube is an sjw haven and blame the strict authoritarian guidelines youtube has set, as well as the 'adpocalypse' on the left despite the culprit being youtube's lust for more profit. The same people that refuse to accept this fact and claim - due to their own bias - that only the right is targeted by this. In realityland what youtube is doing is in line with the hyper-individualist profit oriented view of capitalism these very same people promote actively; tooth, nail, and mass shooting.

It's surprising how quickly people can turn on a platform when they try and perform a service beyond their usual capabilities.

Personally, in the wake of 'questionable' content being released, the only thing I'd suggest doing is offering something akin to the 'peer review' that has appeared on League of Legends.

When more than one infraction has occurred (or at least been reported) logs of the conduct are presented before large groups of players. Anyone directly involved in any of these events are omitted from peer review. Now, I would never condone the behavior portrayed, but I do feel  it is necessary to allow it to exist and allow others to investigate rather than dismiss. Technology allows us to bridge gaps in capability in a way that is completely unprecedented in the past. Videos with 'challenging content' should not be removed in my opinion, but perhaps sequestered behind a single 'Are you sure?' Check box so those who cannot reconcile the information have no one to blame but themselves. All information should be allowed to exist. Assessment of that information should be left to the individual.

Shock value has always had a place in entertainment... it's par for the course.
"Discovery - shock - uproar - desensitization - malaise - unrest - Discovery..."
rinse and repeat. He ain't the first "asshole" and he certainly won't be the last.

Not sure if Peer Review is the solution, I'm not sure what the solution is honestly when people have convinced themselves so thoroughly that there is a conspiracy against them.

True. What do you tell someone who has stopped receiving new information and ideas on something?

If they have willingly closed their self off from new information there is nothing you can tell them - most of them don't want to hear that there are flaws in their ideas. The whole point with my journals and the pdf is to appeal to people willing to take in new information. And as I mentioned I intend to redo it as the pdf isn't mean to replace information intake or supplant it but to encourage it.
