1st Day of Class

I had class yesterday(Tuesday if you're reading some days from now). It was a night class so that's definitely fun. Anyway, the class in question is called Engineer Drawing. So unlike the previous class(Construction Drawing), there is some actual drawing involved. Say, 'member doing handwriting in grade school(cue the "I 'member" comments if anyone actually commented on this)? Well one of the drawing exercises was pretty much that. Of course another thing that makes this class unlike the 1st one is that it's only for one day of the week and the length of the class session is 4 hours instead of 1.5 hour sessions. The total amount of weeks(7) is also shorter in comparison(though Irma and other factors gave some off days in the previous "quarter"). So basically this polygamy of longer class sessions, shorter quarter lengths, and class going into the night can be concerning for being able to focus. Since this is my only class for the quarter, free time should be ample, right? While it can offer more time, there is still some stuff out of class that should keep me busy. One of those things is obviously out of class assignments. This can range from reading out of a textbook to quizzes on blackboard(dunno if I have to explain what that is and how it works) and some handouts similar to stuff done in class. One more difference of note is the use of blackboard. If I remember correctly, my previous class didn't frequently use it. While the teacher would post announcements and share some some material for use in the class, I don't think it was used for a lot beyond that. As stated before, this class has quizzes for us to take. Even though it was the 1st week and our assignment was to hand draw the subjects in question, I'm assuming that once we get into the program, we'll be submitting those projects through blackboard. Also, something that didn't occur to me until I started class was that AutoCAD 2018 wouldn't work for the class. I dunno if there is any work around for having projects made in the 2018 version to work in previous versions, but hopefully I'll figure it out before I have to begin working in the program. I'm hoping I can still get the 2017 version installed even though I have the 2018 version installed already. Since I'm posting this, it's safe to say my internet connection is still alive for now. If I were to talk about the situation now, it would be a whole new journal in its entirety. Anyway, this has been a little update from my life as of this month.
