Winter Storm Has Left Us Without Water (And Other Updates)

So I just woke up from like, a five hour nap.

I was outside for the past two days in sub zero freezing temperatures trying to cut and gather wood for our wood burning stove in the basement, that we fixed temporarily cause it leaks into the house and might kill us all in our sleep from C02 emissions, but we really need the heat cause it's been less than 50° in the house, and our pipes froze in the basement and flooded the kitchen with water. (But we fixed it yesterday and also our land lord gave us new smoke detectors that are also carbon monoxide detectors so we're probably safe.)

My back is very, very sore. I just took some naproxen and I'm drinking some ice water, so hopefully it won't hurt so much here in a few. We successfully have the wood burner going, and it's helping take the chill out of the air. But I'm pretty sure our heating bill is going to be through the roof this winter.

I promised that art is coming, but every day something just fucking happens to keep me from getting shit done. It's getting pretty ridiculous.

Some good news, though, Mom is doing a little better but still struggling. And a friend of mine gave me a spare twin sized mattress from his guest bedroom, so I have a new bed and it's very comfortable. So much better than the old mattress I was sleeping on, which was just a thin little couch bed twin bed with broken springs that cut my legs.

I hope everyone had a good new year. I will try very hard to get some art work done.

Stay warm out there, the storm is almost over.

~Love and Peace

PS: I'm going to start making wood crafts to sell. Walking sticks, monogrammed signs, Ouija boards, that kind of stuff. So if anyone is interested let me know ahead of time.

If you can hang in for a little while longer the weather is going to get much warmer..like from 2 to 40 or more within a day or so.
It probably won't last but at least it'll give you a few days to get stuff done. And rest!
Also good news with your mom is good news. :D

Normal dildo prices, I guess? lol

Not really sure how to price the value on a hand crafted wood dildo.

However much you feel is necessary. But for the love of god make sure it's perfectly sanded down and smooth. It may start out as a novelty item but I may feel adventurous one night.

Pro tip - let your water drip constantly. doesn't have to be full blast, just nice steady stream to help prevent freezing

That's what we always do. But even that can't stop negative temperatures sometimes.

Strange... we've had negative temperatures here and there over the years but nvr had any problems... we also have heat tape but even heat tape can fail eventually hence the water drip...

We live in a little trailer, and it's poorly insulated. The basement on the garage side can easily get below freezing temperatures.

Even with the wood burner going it never gets really "warm" in the basement.
