here we do zone cards where zone usually means city like "Newark - Irvington - Maplewood" would be 3 zones for example. a 1 zone bus card is $60 for the month or $1.60 for the ride.however our subway system despite being mainly in the city of newark requires 2 zones.
2 years ago I got on the subway with a 1 zone card when the ticket master asked me for my bus card i showed her my 1 zone monthly pass and she wrote me a ticket and stated that the city subway is a 2 zone ride despite being only in Newark this i did not know. My ticket btw was $75 witch is about the price of a 2 zone bus card >_>

what the heck x3 well you should come and see in rome ,where a monthly pass costs a whopping 30 euros and a freaking day-long ticked 7 euros,and both monthly pass and daily ticked for one zone only,with an urban service worse than Newark tho!its like paying double for everything for unrealiable teh service is! x3 i now start to see why LOndoneers are so jealous of their Oyster cards! what a bunch of geniuses!

Here's hoping I can get some of that luck. If I can get the job I applied for and interviewed for in December, that may be the worst thing to happen to me too, but if not, it's going to be a long year. Hehe! Gotta stay positive though!
