My New Years Resolution is not to do anything big, really. Because, I feel like when its made to be done, it just makes it much more difficult. It's like you make a contract for yourself. Because we are creatures of bad habits, one of the worst ones we have is procrastination. We all been there before... where we said we get something(s) done... yet that little part of our brain in the back of your head tells you... You can't trust your future self to get it done. You done it. We all done it. Put it off till later but never getting it done, or until the last minute when it really needs attention.
This is why I am against New Year Resolutions when people say I WILL or I MUST..... It's like a contract you are depending your future self that we really can't trust to get done, and when you fail it, then it hurts more, and you feel like you failed yourself and others; It just seems much more hurtful. Sometimes, Hopeless. Instead my resolution is to try my best to get it done. So, it's not about an empty obligation(s) I must get in done... but it is more fore filling to know that I did my best to get it done or get close to achieving what I need to get done. Instead of making one big contract, I just do the small things along the way to add up what I want fore filled. That way, I know all I got to do is give it my all. So, even if I fail it in the end, it's much easier to recover from. Because, I know I've given it my best, and all I got to do is get up, dust myself off and try again. So, I can look back and not see so many resolutions I broken, instead see milestones of smaller achievements along the way of things I did my best on.
So, my goals are to try my best to be super frugal with my money. That's by putting money into savings and only keeping some to the side for basic things and only buy what I NEED. Not what I want, and also save up change to put in my savings later too. This includes not spending much money on games. At the same time I want to give it my damn best to save up enough to get a Nissan 370Z before the end of 2018.
