my dreams

by
I usually take melatonin in order to sleep better and more fully. It's actually a hormone your body naturally makes but having more around can make dreams more memorable/emotional...at least so I've read. I remember my dreams nearly every time I take it.

One thing I've noticed is that in my dreams, I'm usually 16 or younger and I'm either in school dealing with people I used to know or at home dealing with my parents. Sometimes I might be a neighbor's house or somewhere else, but when I am, I live there or it's like I have been living there.  I can't really count the number of dreams I've had where I'm back in highschool. In one dream I was in college again, but drove my car into a dark tunnel o_o

When my dreams get sexual it almost always involves a creature that morphs into something else. And usually this creature reads my mind perfectly and doesn't stop looking into my eyes. It's extremely hypnotic and fun.

It's really strange that I never really leave school or age in my dreams.  It's been that way for about 8 years now. Yes, I keep a log of my dreams. A lot of times it feels like they're helping me look at something...

Usually people dream of their school / highschool / childhood years for a few reasons, the most significant being either nostalgia or life problems / having a hard time back then / anxiety.
In my case almost every dream about school is very unpleasant, I re-live all the bullcrap that has happened back then.

Sweet dreams looq.

Oh, I did..yup. All of my anxiety stems from those years. In a few dreams I've actually gotten revenge on some people from back then, then I wake up a little freaked out but happy lol.

*hugs a bunny tightly*
Thanks Jeffy. Hope to see you when I get up ^^

You know, this reads pretty creepy, like you're being raped by the Blob or the Swamp Thing, or something! :P

Actually, it's not very creepy when it happens. In the first one of those that I had, I took pity on a plant that was dying, and it turned into a woman and totally seduced me XD

In the other cases, I was always interested in the creature and it in me. So it was a mutual thing. I never get raped in my dreams :D

My dreams range from the really weird to the bloodly brutal, of course I have my dreams that are parts of some of the stuff I write and on rare occasion if I've been working on something for a few days I will have almost episodic dreams.

and of course my sexual dreams (my favorite is a fire elemental chick)

Several years ago I went through a period of having dreams of going to Disneyland again. Disneyland never looked the same way twice, never was what Disneyland looks like IRL, and I never really got to go in and enjoy the park.
For a while I was stalked by a demon in my dreams. It was a totally black figure, the dreamscape would darken very-quickly whenever his arrival was imminent, and whenever he would appear I would instantly wake up in a state of fright.
Currently I have lots of dreams where I'm wandering through crowded/busy buildings and environments of all kinds, and am surrounded by people I never interact with. Also, I often have dreams involving buildings/interiors that constantly grow and expand and become more elaborate, as I explore them further.
One of my most-cherished dreams of yore was a dream starring the TMNT from the first live-action movie. We were all in my family home, and the decor was from when I was a kid. We were one big happy, raucous family.

i stopped dreaming on a regular basis long ago, nowaday if i do dream it's usually nothing that's special. usually i'm at work doing mundane things, but even those are far between.

It's fun, it's the same thing for me. In my dreams I am 12 or 13, I'm still living in the house when I was a child, I remember that my life became worth after this age, so I think my mind is probably stuck at this period ^^'

The only time I get dreams is when I fall asleep after taking some high end painkillers and god those things just get naughty

Interesting.  My dreams are still frequently set in the house where I grew up.  It's as if the place is permanently wired into my brain.

With the drugs my doc has me on, half of them cause drowsiness.  I'm going to give a melatonin supplement a try and see if that helps me sleep better. :)

shapeshiftingalienbrainslugparasites!! Its always the aliens, trying to read your mind for... something... I dunno... science, maybe... =P
I don't remember much from my dreams, usually, unless it's something ordinary like dreaming of power rangers (after listening to that buckethead song I don't know how many times), or organising my (failure of a) dwarf fortress (after hours of gameplay)... oh crap... now I feel like playing dwarf fortress again! I also have the school dreams, but it's not like yours; If my dream isn't specific about something, then I'm always 6-7yo, and the dream location is spliced with either elements of my old house, or my grade school. It's been like this for years.

Other than that my dreams are pretty normal in that they jump from place to place and the crazy content, but every now 'n then I'd have one of those young dreams. I'm always sad when I wake.

I too keep a dream journal, but I've never gotten around to experimenting with meds to improve 'em. I've only been using a natural herb mix of Valerian, Hops n Passion Flower to improve my sleep. Any notes you can share on dream enhancements?
