A Bawls Story

I don't remember when I stopped drinking soda, but I do know that it was before November, so I have had no soda or energy drinks in three and a half months now.  When I started this I said it was going to be for the rest of my life because I cannot control myself when it comes to soft drinks, and too many of them give me painful bladder spasms. However, when I was in texass I saw one store that carried Bawls energy drink which I thought weren't around anymore....

Bawl Guarana has a special place in my memories as the first energy drink I ever had, somewhere between 2002 and 2003, and I relate it to furry because it was rare and esoteric: a cult drink for super geeks, so I was astounded to see somebody selling it at my first convention in 2004.  For the rest of 2004 and into the next year, every time I would drink a Bawls, I would remember this connection of how everything that happened at MFM 8 was everything that I had ever wanted and needed and never had.

When a truly life altering event happens you remember everything about it, and smell is the strongest memory trigger.  Funny thing is, it seems to work in reverse too; just by thinking about it, I can smell the hotel, my leather chair, my MFM 7 foam rubber can holder, and of course, Bawls.  The last one is the only one consumable, but where as I have forgotten the taste of nearly every soda and energy drink, this one returns every time I think about it.

I know the truth of course that what I really want is the magic of being there at a convention with others like myself because where I live, although there are furries, most of them have black and twisted hearts.

*deep breath and sigh* Well, honestly, I would have to grow a life; I don't have a job, neither do I have specialized training, but say I got a job, I would need to save up money, have all my possessions moved via a rig, and then have somebody drug my ass and put me on a plane because I have problems with heights and bridges, and then (assuming I'm living with you) find a job in that area and keep it until I die, but other than that, I wouldn't exactly say no to moving.

I see, I see. You're not interested in being a cleaner/housekeeper then.

You also have... Kit's fears, of all people. And poor handling of fear.

Well, I didn't assume housekeeping was an option because most furries expect a chore list for each member of the house.

When you say kit, is that a person, or do you mean the fears of a youngling?  And yes, I don't handle fear that well, when your fears about humans being against you have been confirmed by uncountable numbers, it's difficult to see fate as being any different.  I am not sure if there are any creatures more jaded than I who have not turned into the same thing they used to see as an enemy.

It is interesting that you are able to see what you have from the previous paragraph.
