The Beginning of The End(?) #ripinternet#19??-2017

Despite our best efforts, it seems the vote has been passed. Looks like it's time to start stashing our favorite pictures. Even though it won't be immediate, the precedent has been set. Don't think you're exempt from getting fucked over. To anyone who was in the ever shrinking minority of ass clowns who supported this repeal, I'll let you substitute my spot many times over. To everyone outside the USA, please don't let your legislation follow our model and try fighting the good fight if net neutrality is absent in your country.
Now hopefully all is not lost. The back lash is imminent and hopefully the change gets shot down along the line. I'm not sure if boycotting our ISPs will be a good thing considering how much we rely on it. Trying to organize across the country won't be easy without communications. Hopefully our own states won't have attempts at keeping protections in place shot down. Maybe the midterm election will be the wake up call our country needs. Hopefully this site and others like it are allowed to stay afloat and not get throttled or blocked outright.
What went wrong? How could our efforts have failed? Did we do enough to stop this? Was there any more we could have done? As stated earlier, the backlash is going to occur. Lawsuits are likely to follow. Will it help though? I sure as hell hope it won't have to escalate to assassinations or another civil war, but I won't be too surprised if it does. Then we'd have to worry about getting caught in the cross fire if we don't wanna actively participate. Whether or not large scale violence occurs, this day(and everyday since trump's presidency) will be the most infamous entry in american history since 9/11. There is no way in hell A Shit Pie will ever be seen in a positive light and we'll make sure it stays that way.
If you made it this far or just skimmed my journal, here are some closing thoughts to remember. To the budding artists of all types, good luck making a living in this day and age. To the artists with a long time presence, your audience will miss you. For all types of fetish specialty artists, pray to whichever gods you believe in that ending up on a watch list doesn't occur if the internet changes for the worst. To every friend and enemy made on this site, it was fun while the ride lasted. To the staff, hopefully your employment isn't completely jeopardized by the impending change. To the congress people who sold out, thanks for letting us know who else is on the wrong side of history and who not to vote for in the midterm. To those wanting people's heads on a platter over this, I don't condone your behavior but I know your actions are no one else's but your own.
If there is little to no significant change within a few weeks or months time, feel free to disregard my journal. And if there isn't a drastic change to my internet plan, I'll surely continue browsing this site and offering updates regardless. If my internet plan prevents me from accessing this site however, then all that's left for me to say is see you on the other side.
