Pirate pride is understandable when sellers are acting like idiots, but not buying anything even when there is hard work put into it is just cheap. When you have company over and they look on your shelves and see a row a movies, those movies become conversational pieces, but you can't show someone your movie collection if it is nothing but file names on a computer.
I remember that you are lonely out there and don't really have anyone to impress, but I don't want you turning into what I call a "dead battery", because if you keep that up, if you ever move out and meet someone you care about you'll look back and see this giant gaping hole where respect, diligence, and care should have been.

Thank you lotses dear *hugs* And yeah, I guess I could say I have "pirate pride", combined with a phobia for governments and companies I've had for a long time (SOPA / PIPA / ACTA make it worse). It's hard to not see all companies as evil due to the junk most of them pull, but I try to keep in mind some of them are good people who work hard on some great works. From those who supported SOPA / ACTA, I hope I'll never happen to buy from them for several years however.

Given that I rarely watch movies and the only games I bought this year were old ones from http://www.gog.com/ , buying nothing in march rather goes without saying.
As for being jaded, I have been to "mankind must be exterminated to protect any future sentient species they may encounter" and back, a good part of the first was grudge, paranoia and revenge and a good part of going back from it was rather divine intervention than my own decision. They have only given part of brain back when I gave up revenge on mankind as a whole. (Maybe that is part of the reason why so many dictators go nuts.) So they are currently safe from me. ; ) Yes, this sounds rather like a religious nut and no, I am serious and yes, looking back I can laugh about me. Anyway, I am back.
