Hello and Rawr to you my fuzzy friends!
2017 has turned out to be for me a great convention filled year full of new experiences, ideas, and faces new and old. In all I attended six conventions throughout the year, all of which I have attended at least once before except for the newest addition to my hometown of Seattle of Anthro Northwest. As much fun as I had and will continue to have attending these events I feel like now that Midwest Furfest is over for the year I am completely out of energy, and no that isn't me just being a cat. If you think about the mathematics of my schedule for traveling and all I attended a convention every two months this year. And while I did manage to rack up a fair amount of frequent flyer miles its safe to say I probably did more than I had time for, this is also why I didn't and wont get around to posting a post-con journal about my time at Midwest Furfest this year, so sorry.
Now don't get me wrong I enjoyed everything about each of these experiences this year but I don't want to risk things becoming stagnant or stale in the future to come, and that will mostly come from me being better prepared ahead of time (aka not packing at the last possible second) and also not trying to do ten different things all at the same time. And also while I do love going to certain panels and events that travel with me from con to con I feel as that I need to branch out of my comfort zone and attend and see new and different things than what I have done previously. Not that anything that came prior was bad in any way its only a matter of entertainment and keeping things fresh. So as this year comes to a close and I can take a couple of months to reset and relax from all the wonderful travels and adventures from this year I am already preemptively planning for next year, and as stated before the roster of conventions for me is getting a small but welcomed change up as I will be adding Texas Furry Fiesta and Anthro New England to my list of conventions! Both of these events have been ones I have been meaning to try and cross off my list but due to scheduling conflicts haven't been able to yet...until now! And while they are almost literally back to back its great to again try new things (to try everything you could say!).
So far below is a list of what I will definitely be attending with * in space for what I hope to attend. Any of this could ultimately change as life does tend to happen, but overall most of these are locked in. I hope to see you all there and to meetup with new friends! I do know that I missed a few of you at MFF due to time constraints so I will be making that my first priority going into new cons in the new year. I love looking around in the dealers dens, panels, and the works but you guys, my friends, are what make me come back time after time and make it special for me. Whether I have known you for years or had drinks with you last night, you are all cool in this lion's book!
