Be warned, it's a bit long-winded.

Thankyou :D, I was about to buy a headset tomorrow actually but I had no idea latency on most headsets was so bad. I might pick up a pair of these instead. How is the sound blocking on it? Does it reduce ambient noise a fair bit when you put them on? Is the microphone any good? Cheers

The microphone is good enough for making calls, but it's not going to win any awards. There's no active noise canceling, so the only blocking comes from having the ear cups completely surrounding your ears. You'll still hear whatever's going on around you, which I actually like just in case something happens that needs my sudden attention. These aren't for isolation, but I haven't yet seen any noise-canceling ones with the aptX-LL codec.

Cheers, I've just ordered myself a pair and the same leaf adapter :D. Looking forward to seeing how they sound! Agreed with you about the noise cancelling. It's kind of a difficult thing I guess to mix, too much sound isolation and I can't hear people yelling for me or even coming into my room, too little and i can hear everything going on and its really distracting. I guess a bit of isolation is good but nothing too strong. So it sounds just right for me.

Whilst looking into all this I found that the latest Win10 update included some new virtual surround tech being added: https://www.pcworld.com/article/3190674/windows/how-to-...
I've had a play with it and the Dolby Atmos setting sounds great, even better than my Creative Z soundcard's own virtual surround. I was worried since it seems the leaf adapter is a USB sound card i'd have to go without any sort of virtual surround in my games, but seeing how this new Dolby thing sounds that certainly won't be an issue. Guess I won't be needing my fancy soundcard anymore then haha.
