I know this is a very odd journal subject, but after finally getting a steam account a few months ago I've been wanting to fill out my library of games a bit. Here's what I've got:
Deus Ex
Doki DOki Literature Club
Hollow Knight
Pit People
Slime Rancher
Starbound
System Shock 1 and 2
Total Annihilation
West of Loathing
With how polluted steam is with trash and asset flips, it's difficult to actually find good games to play, so I usually go off of games I've seen people play or heard of specifically. So yeah, back to the original question: Are there any games you guys play you would recommend to me? To narrow it down, I don't touch the following types: multiplayer only, MOBA, card games, simulators, party games (I have no friends to play with), rage games (entertaining to watch only), dance/rhythm games, fighting, racing, platformers (this one I am flexible with. Depends on the type of platformer).
