At the end of this month I'm heading again to Chicago, IL for Midwest FurFest. So if you are also attending and you see me around, you can say stop me and say hi, and if I'm in fursuit, I have a hug for you, and of course you can take a picture with me (I also request lots of pictures with fursuits), but of course, please, be respectful!! I really appreciate a lot when people closes to me very happily because they found a certain paco panda n__n but please be kind, to support this great positive attitude that we should have as furries with other furries.
It's very likely that I won't have a spot for the Art show, I received an e-mail where I was not accepted but I'm on the waitlist, I'm not sure how many people are on that wait list and how many people would withdraw their request for a panel at the Art show, so I prefer not to have any illussions, it will be the first year I won't exhibit art at that gallery. Next one probably would be the one at Anthrocon, again.
--Artists' Alley--
Oh gosh, this is not a guarantee either, this year MFF seems there are going to be many more attendees than usual, if the hotel room at the main was filled in less than 2 minutes, and not even requesting a place at the art show the very first day they opened for submissions I could get a place, I'm pretty sure the places for the artists alley will be taken all of them, leaving many artists out of the lottery!! I'll do the possible to get a spot for one day, I would love they do as many other conventions that you can save your place and be sure you are getting a spot before the convention starts, because I don't know if I'm carrying my art stuff in vain.
Well, if I'm at the artist alley, I'd love to be on friday or sunday (not saturday, I have many plans on saturday during the con!), and I'll take 5 commissions during the con (sketches with color, this time colored pencils, not color markers), and when I fill them all, I'll take commissions to take home, digital or traditional. This is one of the few oportunities to get a commission from me (because I'll remain closed for the upcoming months for regular commissions, I'm really sorry, this panda is really busy u__u).
But here are some advices I want to give you if you are planning to get a commission from me at MFF:
►Commissions during the con (the 5 slots) will be very simple, but it will look awesome, extra characters this time will be charged a little more.
►Be thinking about a good idea that I can work for you, if you don't have one, you can leave it up to me n__n I don't have problem suggesting poses.
►Have prepared your reference sheet (any reference of your character works for me, no matter if is not properly a ref sheet), PREFERABLY PRINTED!! If you can't print it, you can have it ready saved on your phone and I'll take a picture to your screen. Do not trust the internet of the convention center, so don't try to find your reference on FA at the moment. That almost never works.
►If you want me to draw you on your own sketchbook, try to be one of the firsts to get to me, early times the artists alley is opened. (Last time at BLFC my queue of 8 was filled in 20 minutes, and this time I'm only taking 5, so really,...be quick!)
►I'll strictly work at the con only for 5 slots, don't make me work during the convention out of time the artists alley T_T So if you are not one of the 5 first slots, I'll take your commission home and mail it to you later (in case it is traditional)
I'm learning a lot during each convention how to work with taken commissions live, this time I'll provide a Trello link for the people who is having commissions after the con, that way they'll be calmer how is my queue and what time I'm working on their pictures.
