That's Quitter Talk!

by
Is it not even a little ironic that everyone's response to not getting enough attention on Inkbunny is to stop posting things on Inkbunny? It ain't coincidence that everyone's all doing this at once, so that reason is BS.

I've heard there's some drama or scandal going on around here for some reason, but I don't know what it is. Every other journal I've seen that asks, "what is going on," just gets derailed and there's never actually a clear answer. What I think is going on is a ripple effect of whatever that was, and people who are leaving are just riding the wave. Ya'll knew there wasn't as big an audience around here, yet I keep seeing this reason stated as if it comes as some shock or surprise (or the idea that someone believes that they deserve "more attention" - don't drink that, it's not good for you!).

Either way I've noticed a lot of people packing it in and it's coming off as a counter-productive move at the very least, or just plain silly that people wouldn't use the tools provided to them to filter artwork and content to their tastes.

For the not filtering content, I guess some people are just too used to sites like FA having a complete lack of proper features like a good tagging system and tag blacklist.  If its not obvious, some people just won't bother to look for it and will just assume it isn't there. :/

As for what's going on, I'm wondering too; as it seems to be too many people taking their ball and leaving to just be coincidence.

Well, i'll try to put all of this in a nutshell. So the drama started on FA, where an artist named RoareyRaccoon posted a response  post to this "Gender unicorn" on Tumblr. To follow-up,  he called transgender people "people with mental illness" and a lot of shit went down. Long story short,  he got banned from FA.

So he decided to speak his mind here, posting the same thing, and thus,  another shitstorm showed here. This whole "Transgender is a mental illness" thing started to show up here and a lot of trans-furries started to feel uncomfortable. The original submission had its comments locked , so he made a journal in response. Basically, the trans-people wanted him banned off here but the mods refused, and  thus the exodus began. To add,  the army of edgelords also decided to chime in too. It's not that new, but let's just say i'ts not just the trans-furries that are causing this attention thing, it's also the edgelord 2 gender people who are crying "muh free speech" that like to whine and bitch that people tend to shit on them for being pretentious assholes.

Basically,  you have every right to have a view on something, but the moment you are a shithead to others, don't expect them to come to you with hugs. So in the end, If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all. And don't expect to not get shit thrown at you if you hurl shit at others because you want to vent your intolerance on other people's life choices and views.

Honestly, i'm tired of this too, it's drama that needs to be over, and as much as I don't like the idea of getting banned for having  unpopular views,  I don't want this site to be full of cancer either.

All they need to do is take their unpopular view and cross the line to basically harassing people with it, then they can be banned.

Ahhhh, I see....
While I don't agree with what he apparently said then, I do think that this trans movement thing is getting a bit out of hand.  I'm an mtf trans myself, and really...  All there is is mtf trans and ftm trans.  Tumblr has blown it out to be some massive rainbow that includes who you're attracted to and such and how you choose to act and dress.  There are terms for that stuff, but it isn't transsexual.  And it doesn't help that a lot of people on Tumblr are vehemently aggressive about defending what particular kind of 'trans' they are; its almost to the point that trans people are starting to be reviled and viewed in the same light that otherkin often are, which is quite sad to see happen.

There are a few of the gender identities that I can understand. Genderfluid, for example, is kinda like a Jekyll/Hyde where you're cis one moment and trans another. you don't really pick those moments,  it can happen at any given time of the day. Being one myself,  I understand that importance becasue there are some people who take sex reassignment surgery who end up regretting it later. among them, some have those regrets sporadically. I have it and it makes you wish you have  two bodies of the opposite sex to just swap to just to get it over with.

The other example i could say is Agender, because they're focused on  pure androgyny. they don't want to have  neither masculine nor feminine features on their body. (well, at least secondary sexual features.) I'd say they want to appear as androgynous as can be.

The other gender identities in my honest opinion seem to be more gender expression because they do with mannerisms concerning social demographics. like Genderqueer's  more an expression and not an identity because individuals who identify  as genderqueer are of one sex, but they have mannerisms of the opposite sex.

Either way, my problem with that are the invention of the pronouns involving them. It's one thing to have that identity, but it's another to expect others to use those pronouns to accommodate for you. i think that's asking too much when what we should be asking for is other people's support for the freedom to live the way we want.

The butt hurt little babies that answered a certain someones scream for attention. I bet that has something to do with it. I won't name them because like hell i'm gonna give them what they want.

...when did all this happen?

I want to say, 3 months ago? a little bit after Trump's declaration that he wanted to ban trans-people from the US military.

Let's just say, it all started with a unicorn.

Of course. Everything moronic nowadays is directly related to that dumpster fire. Interesting graphic by the way. I’ll have to take a closer look at it later.

my thing is, I support trans rights, and I think they should do whatever they can to attain happiness. that's their business and nobody else's. But telling someone they're sick becasue you're fearful that everyone's trying to "Normalize" mental illness? No, it's not normalizing,  it's people treating people with mental illness  like people and not contagious diseases. It's like they want Social Darwinism and want to wipe 'em out. The joke's on them becasue mental illness is very broad and can mean  many things form phobias  to depression.so everyone is basically fucked.

Now the issue I have on the other side is that they want to push harsh censorship from the admins' sides because someone says something and the microagression  thing is way too far. Most of the times,  if you just let those people say shit, their own words will hurt them more than  trying to push a ban. Seriously, if you take the time to hear these people talk, they're bound to have their foot in their mouths. just publicly shame them and let them see how ridiculous they sound. that's how you win that battle.

I would agree, let those people hang themselves don't give them a time of the day or even a thought. in the end they're just rambling children. No matter how venomous their words get it's just words on the internet.
Keeran

well, words, may be one thing, but when they're pretentious assholes, as in being  a cunt is like breathing to them,  i think it's good to shun them and then ignore them.
Jeffron

The arrogance of their nature will mean they could get mad when no one pays attention. They're crying for attention if you try to do anything against them you are only feeding them.

Welcome to wonderful world of art. This kinda attention grabbing shit is nothing new in the art community. Inkbunny is far from the first place to have this happen and it certainly won't be the last.

Would be rather ironic if people freak out and start bailing on inkbunny only to go to furaffinity lol

Things have gotten so heated lately that those that left figured it wasn't worth it. I know one who didn't want to leave but is getting used to not caring anymore sinse all her IB friends are in Telegram.
