FAQ Q. Can sprite sheet artists join? A. Yes! They can indeed! Also, the Sprite sheet option is only available if an artist of this kind joins. Q. Can writers participate? A. Yes, they can. Q. Oh, well, I can "draw" or ''write'' then, or do stuff! A. Please, give your artistic/writing ability honest consideration before entering. I'm not here to hurt anyone's feelings, but I always don't want to hurt the feelings of the guy/girl who works hard on a gift then opens a present of stick figures yiffing or a story ''Once a upon a time there was a bed, it was shared by *insert two names.* and they played on it all night :P the end '' on December 20th. (aka quality limit) I have noticed that some ignore THIS THING. So I'm going to ask this. " Ask yourself, would anyone or you, yourself want this? Q. Geeze, you're such a snob, why don't you just pair up people based on skill levels? A. There's a lot of arguments for and against this. For me, it boiled down to one thing: The spirit of the season. I want people to be excited about what they might receive, and hooking up so-called "elite" artists only with other "elite" artists spoils everyone's fun. Be honest. You know if you're any good at doing arts/stories or not. You don't have to be Wolfy_Nail or Fisk, but people should be able to look at your art and know if it's a mouse or a moose, please. Is there a chance your gift will be "lower quality" than what you gave? Sure, maybe. Ever get a fire extinguisher from the grandma you bought earrings for? Try to keep in the spirit of the season, guys. Who knows, maybe that artist you have such a low opinion of actually has a really awesome new take on your character. Q. I don't want to put all this time into a colored piece and receive a messy sketch in return! A. You can choose to give a clean sketch/lines or a colored piece, and you'll be paired with someone putting in the same level of effort! Q. Are cub characters allowed? A. Yes! Q. Ewww, you mean I have to draw cubs? A. No! You can opt out of drawing cubs if they make you uncomfortable. Cubs will only be paired with artists who have volunteered to draw or write about them. Q. What's with the deadlines? A. I wanted to give people plenty of time to put their name in the hat, but I also need time to randomize the results. I picked Dec. 20th for artists and Dec. 31st for writers as gift giving day because I know most people will be busy for the week of Christmas and I thought we should beat the rush! Q. What happens if someone doesn't follow through with their gift? A. Well, I don't exactly have the power to enforce rules around here. It's Christmas people, don't be a flake! But at the same time, it's Christmas, people, and sometimes things happen! Try to be understanding if someone has issues. I'm hopeful everyone will come through, and if not, I'll be happy to talk to people privately so that there's understanding and satisfaction. Also! If you cannot deliver and do not inform me about it, you may not join again unless you speak with me. HOW TO ENTER 1. (Optional) Watch me so you can receive updates about this 2. Share this with everyone 3. Everybody goes here! 4. Wait for the goodies ^^ Rules! 1. Don't demand to be drawn by a certain artist, they might not have entered, been approved or can't do what you have asked. 2. FILL OUT THE FORM! Everyone who fills out the form will be submitting a character or two to be drawn or written by someone else that also entered. 3. If you cannot by some reason upload by December 20th(artists only!), let me know so I can tell your person that their gift will be delayed. It must be done before December 31st, or else you will not be able to enter next year if I host. Writers have until December 31st to upload, not the 20th. Since I know it takes a longer time to write a story than to draw a picture in general. But if you're done by the 20th, do feel free to upload it! :) Entries close 11:59 PM gmt+1(1 hour ahead of UK), November 22th, 2017 (that's two weeks to enter, people!). Once all the submissions are in, I will randomly assign each participant someone else's character, based on the preference they picked. Everyone that has been approved will receive their Secret Santa assignments by November 25rd in a pm here on Inkbunny. Then, on December 20th, everyone will exchange gift art! You can choose to post the gift art here on Inkbunny and let them know, or PM the art to them privately so they can post it themselves. I strongly encourage everyone to use the tag "secretsanta2017" so all of Inkbunny can see the unwrapped presents! Note!
