Somethin Im curious about

What do you folks think nude (naughty bits showin) pictures of babyfurs should be rated when you upload them?  Mature (Nudity) or Adult (Sexual Themes)?

The way I see it, the fact is that they're not quite vanilla, 'specially if there's also themes like diapers or pee involved.  But on the other hand, it bothers me having to call them Adult (Sexual Themes) cause it's not "sexual activity" or "arousal".  It is kinda "erotic imagery" but that's painting with a pretty broad brush, doncha think?  It kinda seems silly to put it in the same category as, like, hardcore sex.

I still mark it Adult because I don't wanna get in trouble, but what do you think?

It's really a matter of intent; both for the image in question as a subject but also the intent behind the creation.

You can say it's PG, Mature, or Adult depending on those circumstances.

Generally speaking, I use the idea of 'is the genitalia the focal point of the image' as the deciding factor. Is it a slice of life where nudity happens to be the case; or was something altered to ensure nudity would happen?

Example: This picture is OK because is a tender moment; but the full image focuses on a sexual theme; so the full image is not OK: https://inkbunny.net/s/131950

Shoudn't be that big a deal, but I'd say mature if there are bits showing but no arousal or sexual activity, and adult if there are fluids, sex, or arousal, but not exactly going to throw a hissy over you marking something with fluids as mature. Then again I don't pay much attention to ratings anyway. hehe.

edit: I wouldn't say it's in the same category as hardcore sex if it's marked adult, just like arousal and more kinky stuff, though both technically "adult" it can still be sufficiently categorized with keywords.

The rules say any bits shown is at minimum mature. Adult is for sexual content. This isn't an opinion.

Oh yeah, I wouldnt rate it below mature in any case.  But is it sexual content?  On the one hand it's part of an erotic kink but on the other hand it seems silly to call something that could literally be a RL baby picture, and no one would bat an eyelash, sexual content.

It's funny how that works. A toddler peeing irl would be seen as cute and innocent, as it is here, too, so Moderate, but the same scene with an adult character in the same setting? Adult.

I doubt you'll get strikes or flak for either unless it's General (which I've seen from some cub artists who argue it's just innocent).

Pretty much this. It's hard to moderate based on intent. We've seen some sites get into the whole "this relates to a fetish, it's obviously porn" for objectively clean images, and it didn't work out so well.

Mature if the cub is just a jaybird if any fetish sexualization is going on it will be explicit. Explicit would be a boy peeing out the side of the crib for me ^^

Mature for any of that because there is not sex, as much as I'd like to opine general because nudity by itself is not porn nor naughty.

Same rating as standards as any other character works.

Now on Sofurry, any cub nudity or cub porn has to be rated "extreme".

The way I see it, just an innocent nakie cub pic can be rated mature. It's like pictures of nakie babies IRL that they use for calendars and stuff. Now if the cub is doing sexual stuff (that would be considered porn if it were adults, then it would count as cub porn and get an adult rating.

Adult rating specifies erotic imagery, sexual activity or arousal. I think you can set pics on mature rating as long as they don't contain any of those things ^w^

I follow the "not erect, then it's just mature!" set-up, though I could see how anyone would otherwise disagree haha

I think what you're arguing here is more of a technicality than anything. Just cuz they aren't showing a big ol throbbing weiner doesn't mean people won't get off on it. Of course, I guess the IB staff doesn't mind too much as long as there aren't any glaring misfires, but I guess my stance is more based on MY intention as the creator, and if I really wanted to paint or write something with an artistic use of nudity that wouldn't extend to a sexual scenario, I'd rate it M. Do I want people to get off on this shit? If so, I slap an A on there.
