Originally, paid content was allowed to be posted on this website after a 2 year cooldown. This was to ensure the artists got more revenue when the product was launched.
Artists were free to set up specific DNP status, such as content posted to X site was forever DNP or anything containing X character was DNP.
Now, they are, without any poll, without any question, they are yanking the rug and anything that was paid at any point ant time is now DNP.
So what about deceased artists like skunkworks/james hardiman? He had several pay comics and it's not like you can fucking ask him for a copy. But also, he was completely cool with the 2 year cooldown.
Interestingly, this is all spearheaded by the most arrogant, stuck up, self righteous prick on the website there, [name removed to prevent people from making claims of singling anyone out for abuse]
Make your voice heard and tell them to fuck off. If an artist wants their works forever DNP, they obviously can do so, but it seems most artists DON'T CARE ABOUT SOMETHING THEY RELEASED TWO YEARS AGO.
No, this was all done in private and really, it's because they are so fucking lazy.
The DNP they have allows artists to be DNP, but also to section off certain things. Like if I was an artist, I could say "anything exclusive to my inkbunny account can't be posted but what is posted on my FA can be posted".
Many artists are okay with the 2 year cooldown, but basically, the moderation team is a lazy bunch of morons and would rather just slice off a chunk of the website instead of, you know, moderating and doing their job.

Holy shit... what were they even thinking? WERE they even thinking?
And how casually he said "2500" to correct someone saying "1500 posts were deleted" just kinda made me grimace. I'm not sure why they would even do that, specially when, as you said, the 2 year cooldown was good enough as is. And what about deceased artists? This.. is just some huge mess. :\

As I said in another post, the admins are just lazy as all hell and can't be bothered to actually do any digging. Any excuses they have come up with are frivolous, such as avoiding lawsuits (when they would be tagged for /34/ material first and foremost).

A statute of limitations on copyright is called a patent, and it requires active participation to renew patents. The policy holds no real world precedent.

This is odd, because they removed one of my pics as a part of moderation, because it got reported to the German police, and they threatened to report them to the FBI if they didn't remove it, so obviously they DO have SOME concern for moderation, on there...
