My little odd-ings, my little end-ings

1. To go with the title, I haven't seen the MLP movie (and I'm likely not going to, not being a fan of the franchise beyond the porn), but - not really spoiler - the unicorn sub-villain of the show had her horn broken off. I did some research, and apparently only one other pony in the show has been depicted like this, and that was a stallion in the background, so there's some precedent for this, but not much. Does anyone know how her magic handles with the broken horn, both during and after the movie? I'm asking, because I still have a pair of MLP OCs, one of which is a zebra-striped dark unicorn with a broken horn, and I want to know how the franchise depicts such a disability in regards to magic-casting, for continuity accuracy.

2. To get a bit political, here (sorry for this), I got a post on Tumblr showing other Tumblr posts involving people dissing Bethesda and its new game, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, as being "political left-ring propaganda", even going so far as to call the Nazis in the game "not entirely evil". Now, I'm not going to get into a Trump-bashing thing, since - as much as I hate him - I feel that this thing's been percolating for quite a bit, and Trump was just the impetus needed to cause it to boil over, but I am so, SO sick of people using Godwin's Law in their political bitching, especially assuming - as these guys do - that a game about the Axis winning WWII and conquering the world is a political statement. I even get tired of this with my own boyfriend, when he keeps calling the Trump supporters "RepubliKlans". Look, I know that bigotry's been a problem throughout history, and some things I can agree and disagree with on both sides - for instance, while I can see why the left wants to get rid of statues and memorials to Confederate icons (because technically, they by their very nature as statues and memories are meant to glorify the event or people they depict), I also agree with the Right that that's just stripping away history from people, and the old saying "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it" can apply. But can we please keep form confusing abstract concepts and strawmen with actual fucking people, here? Kinda interesting how, a few months ago, :iconVictoriaViper: posted a journal asking how the alt-Right would react to this game, wondering if they'd be torn on the fact that it depicts both violence against white people and an invading foreign nation taking over and subverting American values, in the same game against the same characters. Guess this answers that question...

3. Is there a Genesis mini console that works as well as the NES or SNES Classic? Seems like all of the AtGames ones that Sega let make - from the original to the handheld to the latest HD version - has gamebreaking issues that are turning people away from them, like sound and framerate issues, wonky interface, etc. I was going to buy the handheld, a while back, but got convinced not to by my boyfriend after he saw Ashens' review of it. Thing is, I grew up with the Genesis instead of the SNES, so getting one would be awesome for me, and they can be expanded with either SD cards (for the handheld) or actual Genesis cartriges (for the consoles), which neither of Nintendo's retro consoles do. I know you can hack the Nintendo ones to put in roms, but the AtGames ones already have that ability to them. My boyfriend managed to get himself an SNES Classic, and now I'm envious of him and want to get something similar for the console I grew up with, but is there anything that even comes close to its quality, out there? Hell, the latest version, I heard, is being soled at the Dollar Tree near my boyfriend's childhood friend for cheap, and that makes me so, SO tempted to get one, but... ugh...
