Epic is trying to Sue cheaters on ‘Fortnite’ for copyright infringement. WTF?! I knew people where sue happy but come the fuck on! They're CHEATERS! They didn't do ANYTHING to the copyright, they just CHEATED! Sure, they bypassed bans by making new accounts but lots of people do that. Of course I hate cheaters in an online game as much as the next person but if this goes through what's next? A game's development company trying to go after a cheater in a offline game like Dragon Age or Elder Scrolls Skyrim for copyright infringement? I honestly hope the judge laughs at Epic for this, cheating IS ALWAYS going to be an issue just in game like RTS spamming to sell in game money but you CAN'T sue them for it because it's a fact of gaming life...
These people don't just cheat but they're also cheat providers. They're both staff on a cheat sharing site. They infringed on the games copyright by taking it's code, modifying it and selling it to others to cheat. Which does in fact infringe on the copyright as it's not their code to sell.

They could get them for that and only that on copyright but the rest is bull. When it cam to Everquest Sony and the owners before them tried to sue on terms of service and EULA violations only to have them thrown out. Only time the courts ever awarded damages was when a server EMU was giving the means to back patch the game.
