Man and Fox

by
For those of a Vulpine persuasion, it appears there has been a longtime relationship between humanity and common Vulpes vulpes-- Courtesy of my good and longtime friend (heh, 20 years, my friend!),

Came up as a "404", or..you gotta love Google's use of dynamic, rather than static, URLs... :P

Ah, maybe you're not a member of Google + yet. ;) Anyway, it's this: http://i42.tinypic.com/ff9z54.jpg and I added the caption: "If you're a fox, you're a winner." ^^

Well, really all you can say is that some couple thousands of years ago had a fox's bones were buried with them. The rest is speculation. But if wolves could hang around humans until they turned into dogs, why not foxes? Or maybe this guy was hurt and couldn't live in the wild any more, so he (she?) turned on the charm and convinced these two humans it could be useful around the village. (Hunting mice maybe?) We'll never know for sure, of course.
