Just Lost EVERYTHING

I just lost everything, my desktop computer shut down and it won't boot back up anymore, the powersupply is hot enough to fry an egg, and I don't know what to do now, and I don't know how much it is gonna cost to replace or even fix anything with it, I'm not as tech savy as my mother thinks I am and This has me stressed out to no end, I am sitting here on a little backup laptop, that can only run webpages and sometimes Discord.  I need help a lot of it, I am at a loss and stressed out.

Have you researched the nearest Computer shop and repair place and price online? I think that might help.

Your PC may not be dead as you fear. It sounds like the power supply crapped out.

The first step in determining how dead your PC is, is to get a new power supply first. If your PC boots up nice and happy, with no issues, problem solved.

Another question I have to ask is...

Do you have any friends who would know how to check your motherboard for any signs of damage?

also, check out this link for determining if your motherboard, PSU or CPU is dead: https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/112266-how-to-e...

I agree with this statement dear. You can still save your harddrive.
