Penless! D:

Hi all.

Just a note that I somehow managed to lose the pen for my phone. :( Its an old Galaxy Note 4 so no stores have in stock. Gonna have to order a new one and wait.

I do quite a bit of artwork on the phone. (Almost all of the Tues Mornings comic was drawn on phone)

So I may be unable to get as much art done for next week or two.

(Long story short, i work 10-12 hpurs per weekday and phone let me get work done on weekdays. So now gotta delegate art time on weekends. So not stopped! Just slowed down. )

Will update when I can!

Stupid question: will it detect anything else? Don't scratch your screen trying, but if it's looking for metal or magnets, you can MacGuyver a sloppy replacement on the end of a stick.

Sucks, man... I have a Note 4 that the USB port got fried, so it won't charge... :/

That's fixable, though possibly not work it and often cause some cosmetic damage on the edges of the screen. Another option is to use an external battery charger. Pop the battery out when it gets low, slot it in the charger for a few hours, pop it back in. A hassle, but it works if you really wanted to get it running again. And cheaper than a new port and even some new batteries.

I actually bought a wireless charging adapter on Amazon that fits under the battery cover. (As opposed to Samsung's official wireless charging back which makes the phone too thick for any case.) It works well enough, but charges so slowly...

ooh yeah. I forgot that was possible with the note 4. That works too! But yeah. wireless charging as a concept isn't fast already. and the adapters for phones that weren't built with it are slower still. The new phones have coils that are literally as wide as the phone and sometimes even double stacked to double the throughput. They make up over half the backside of the device.

Protip. Turn the phone off when it's charging if the adapter will still work with it off (or just put it in airplane mode otherwise).

sorry about the super long delay. I don't check inkbunny messages often ^^;

Actually, I have an S7 and S8 and, using a Samsung fast wireless charger, they will charge at almost the same speed as plugged in.

A lot of folks think wireless charging is a gimmick. But I live by it! It's so nice to not have to worry about unplugging something; just grab the phone and go. I'm just disappointed at how long it took Apple to get on the bandwagon.

Sweet! I don't have anything using the technology myself so I haven't gotten to rigorously test them yet. Best part is not damaging that USB port!

Real talk: how the hell do you draw on something that small? I mean it's a huge phone but it's no tablet. can't imagine something that size is easy to look at or hold for that long. I can be wrong though.
