When I began writing fanfiction, I used various screenshots from each film as thumbnails. Besides being a potential copyright issue, I've decided on a more practical approach. From now on, all my thumbnails will feature a list of themes and kinks. You know...like every other writer on this site. Gotta get with the times!
I agree, but I think the list of themes will be better in the long run. I'm also slightly concerned that those thumbnails might be misleading. People may be expecting artwork, which artificially inflates my view counts. I'll be testing that theory soon with a new submission.
