I'm torn.

So I basically finished the first "chapter" (if you can call it that) of my GidTrav headcanon story on Saturday. A few words shy of 5,800. Part of me wants to hold off on posting anything until I have the entire thing fleshed out and written down, but another part (the part that inevitably hates everything I write) wants me to just push it out as I go.

I won't be posting anything until I get companion images done, but I don't think that'd take too long to do. I just need to figure out how I'm gonna handle it otherwise. Also need to find/hit up some artists to commission scene images for what I already have so far.

I say post it as you write-- that way, you can incorporate feedback into later parts of the story without rewriting the whole thing

That's actually one of the reasons I'm reluctant to post it early. This is a personal headcanon that I'm writing for myself, and I don't want people trying to influence where it goes.

Fair enough. I mean, I'd still want you to post it as you go, but that's more for... personal... reasons now than for writing advice.

Depends on whether you prefer folks to read the story as a whole or get the satisfaction of posting your finished chapters. I say go your own pace. Maybe tease an image until the chapters are all ready to go. Really pumped you've made it this far.
