I cannot believe how friggin' awesome the concert was, everyone. I went in expecting to see Ninja Sex Party, and maybe some Starbomb and TWRP, play for like an hour, and then we'd be out. Now that's already a really awesome time in my book. But instead, we got a full on, 2.5 hour PRODUCTION. It just... it fucking rocked, and was so emotional for me. NSP is a group I really look up to; they started from nowhere and worked really, really hard at their goofy, 18+ thing and now they're successful. It gives me a lot of hope as a fellow artist who does adult work, even if what we do is very different from each other.
I also learned that TWRP is way cooler and more amazing than I realized, so I went from being casually interested to Very Much A Fan. If you ever have a chance to see them live, please do! They really put on a great show, and of course the music is excellent. You can check out their albums here, if you want!
The less pleasant parts though... hoo boy. The show itself was so great, but man concerts are really rough, ha ha. Ettie and I waited in line for about 3 hours to get good standing spots, and it was super dirty outside where we had to sit/stand, with nowhere to pee. Inside the concert hall thing, it was... moist. Just very hot, and quite moist. By the end, I felt pretty dizzy and just really needed to sit down and drink water. Not to mention crowd anxiety hitting hard when you're packed in against a ton of people. I'm glad we opted not to bring our backpacks in! Next time I'll bring at least a water bottle though.
I walked out with some amazing merch, too. Got myself a great TWRP shirt and three posters that I can't wait to frame. One of them is signed, so I can casually scream at my wall in happiness from time to time.
So that was a fantastic time, and a very welcome and needed break from being in my own house. I don't think I'd seen anyone besides Toby since July, for Anthrocon ^^;; Oops.
I can not describe the jealousy I'm feeling right now. I saw TWRP live here in a dive bar downtown a couple years ago, and another show at the campus cafeteria. I will never forget how I felt during those shows. NSP is a group I've wanted to see live since they were created, too. I'm soooo jealous. So happy for you that you got to experience this! It's so awesome!

Awesome. I've been a fan of Game Grumps for a while now, and have been waiting for the opportunity to see them either at one of their live shows or concert of NSP/Starbomb. Sounds like it will totally be worth it when I finally get the chance!
