My Inkbunny Account

I'm at odds for what to do with this account, here. Right now, I have an FA account which hosts just about everything I draw for free, and a DA account for a lot of the better images I put a little extra effort into for all ages. I'm not sure what kind of audience I would get here that isn't just a bunch of overlap from FA if I simply mirror what I put over there.

I don't really need the economic features of Inkbunny since I release projects for my website that make plenty of money. I'm not sure if releasing those projects here, as well, would simply siphon customers away from my site, causing me to lose money on the transaction costs, or if it would actually generate new customers. I'm inclined to think the former. Though I'm not beyond doing an experiment in the future in order to test things.

We'll see how that goes, and I'll let you know if and when I decide to do it. One thing's for sure, I don't want this to simply be a mirror of my FA account, upload for upload.

Well there are people here that are not on Fur Affinity or Deviant Art, so you are just sharing with a broader audience.

Yeah, but who and how many? Is it worth the effort to me?

How many is unknown.  I know you are a popular artist and are busy so the question of worthiness can only be answered by you.  I can understand you not wanting to mirror your other sites and it would be allot of work for you to produce things just for FA, just for DA and just for Inkbunny.  To be honest with you I prefer browsing for furry art on sites like Fchan and E621, and given all the hard work you would do for these sites, a fan would most likely post your works on these fans sites anyway.  I guess what I am saying is only you can determine how much you want to put into Inkbunny.   Personally I like Inkbunny because it offers furs another site to visit and be a part of.  Fur Affinity has held the monopoly for too long.  Some competition should bring out the best in both places.

I would suggest you use this to host sales that are not suited for your own site. There's a lot of material that your "fans" would simply get upset about. For instance, if you started posting a lot of outright gay art on your site, it would drive current customers away, and probably not bring in any new customers because I don't see you getting a lot of traffic from people that've never heard of you.

However, if you posted material here on InkBunny that your normal viewers would find objectionable, and kept said pieces off your own website, you would face little or no backlash, while at the same time this art would gain exposure to an audience that probably doesn't frequent your current sales site.

There's really nothing I would do that I wouldn't do for my site. Not to mention any investment of time put into something like that would take away from the time invested in site works which are proven sources of good income. I may try a dual release experiment in a little bit.

I agree with Sangy on this one.  At the same time if you want to avoid the whole "upload after upload" deal, I would suggest post any upcoming project previews you have in store.  That way you won't have to extremely juggle all four sites and wearing yourself out.

I hope you decide to stay here on Inkbunny. It's a very good site. No drama, and the admins/mods are very fair and straightforward here. And I hope I'll be able to commission you next time you're open for one.

I see what you mean. It'll be a shame if you leave though.

As a suggestion, why not post one or two pics from eachof your sites here as a sample, and each pic links to the appropriate site in the description.  That way, 'new' fans you get here will be channeled to your other sites.

I haven't checked in a while, but do you offer print services from your site? If not, that's something InkBunny does (or will do again) and really takes little to no effort on your part. It could be a way to sell prints to those who want them. Just a thought.

I wouldn't worry to much about loosing customers. If you archive some of your old stuff here it might actual create a revenue base.

If it's not an extra stream of income, then it's definitely gotta be a stream of audience for you.

From what I understand this site already had two mass growths; when it opened up, and since FA had to ban the cub art.

Then there's the promise of publish-on-demand with this site.

This will be a big place if the cards are played right. Stick around and do the same stuff here.

I'm not going anywhere, but an audience looking for cub porn isn't the audience I'm edging to cater to.

I think you should post works you would consider worthy of being on peoples walls, since InkBunny to me is more of a retail site then FA or DA, at least the prices are better.  Solo colored pictures, and 'center-fold' type stuff.

I had an idea... if you're still thinking on this. (Gods this journal is old. hah)

What if you posted comics here that you're posting on the main site... but with dialog and naughty bits censored or removed. Tease people into wanting the real thing. It's worked in the past for a lot of artists who do the same thing. Another idea would to do exclusive comics for this site, but having them be cut off in some way and again showing nothing of value so to speak. Showing off your quality, without hurting sales. Self advertising so to speak. I know of a particularly successful artist on DA who does loads of teaser art and silly tidbits and clever censoring and it works for him. Adult art from this artist(Jolly Jack) is incredibly rare even when trying to pirate it, unless you actually bother to pay for it.

That's my idea, I'm sure someone else has one better.

Think you should just throw down a few pictures here and there, and link your site. ^_~  Keep it simple, and just generate a few new people to your site. ^_^
