Since the protest in Charlottesville showed how large the white supremacist movement as gotten and how bold they have become. I am posting a link to one of few groups that help get people out of such groups. If you did not know most of these extreme groups operate like gangs and most members cant just leave. Leaving for them often puts them in mortal danger, and many have few to no family to support or help them.
The organization life after hate is one of the only groups that helps them. It was founded by former neo nazi and klan members. They recently lost all their government funding. Not that long ago the US government would help fund certain groups that help fight against violent extremist groups. This was the only group that help white supremacist that had any government support. Now the USA needs groups like this.
If you read about you watch interviews from former group members they tall you that leaving is dangerous and hard, often they have no family outside these groups or how they had to flee for their lives. They go on to talk about how for most of them they joined these groups not because they hated black people or jews. They joined because they were disenfranchised, angry, young, and felt hopeless and abandoned by society.
