Disagreement does NOT equal hate/deathwish/phobia.

Today's uncommon "common sense" lesson is:

Just because someone disagrees with you, it does not mean they HATE you.

Just because someone disagrees with someone else, does not automatically mean they hate that person, or want them dead, or are a "whatever-O-phobe", or any other absolutely asinine assumptions I have seen people throwing around lately for any number of "triggering" issues.

Seriously... Just agree to disagree, or IGNORE the thing you don't agree with.

It really is THAT simple.

This is how the internet works on "disagreements"

But you're right, just because someone has a different thought doesn't immediately mean hatred for the other party.

It is like I have often heard, and most times heard it from church pastors. When God created us, he did not build robots.

If everyone done, spoke and thought alike, that would be like a production run on a particular make and model of a machine...be it a washing machine, automobile, boat, farm tractor, toaster, power drill, locomotive, airplane or whatever.
Take 1,000 army jeeps of the same year, make and model...They all sound alike, they all run alike, they all start alike, they all have the same top speed and horse power, they all corner and handle the same, they all require the same maintenance schedule...Even the parts are interchangeable. You can take a wrecked jeep with a good motor and put that motor in another jeep that has a blown motor, and except for serial numbers there is no way to tell the motor is not the original motor.

Or like when you are driving across an old bridge that still has the metal railings (most of them today have concrete barriers).
As you drive across the bridge, the stanchons that support the railings all look alike, look alike, look alike, look alike, look alike, look alike, look alike, look alike, all the way across the bridge.

That politically correct crowd seems like a run of widgets, and they think everyone else should be also.

Well...We were created to be individuals, not think alike robots...or like army jeeps, widgets and railing stanchons.

I love it when people explain things to me in automotive and mechanical terms. I wish more people would ^_^

I like a world where we have cars like from before the 1970s where every car and every year of car would be different from one another. Not nowadays where it is like everyone is the same model/body/options for 20+ years.

And the herd mentality and groupthink is freaking nuts. If you aren't one of the sheep herd, then you must be one of the wolves, even if you are a weasel minding his own business and just looking for chicken eggs.

What is happening now is pretty much all the beginning dystopian shit I read about as a kid in the 1980s in books like "Fahrenheit 451" and "1984"... Those books were supposed to be a warning, not a damn play-by-play on how to do it.

Why agree to disagree and have true diversity of thought and speech, when the media and such can divide and conquer to improve their viewership ratings?

Come to think of it, those cars that all roll off the assembly line looking alike for the past 20+ years is just the cup-o-tea for those sheep that seem to be getting stamped out from the same mold.

Gotta love how all this talk of "diversity" is making things LESS diverse.

I've taken a criminology class on cults and indoctrination, and that is what I am seeing and dealing with on a daily basis over the last few years with everyday people... The whole "us vs. them" mentality seems to be getting drilled into people's brains from the mainstream media especially. So if there is any "mold maker"; it's the overly opinionated main stream media pretending to be "news".
