I was thinking of posting to this journal a joke about procrastination...

...but I think I'll put it off another year.

There are many relatives in my family who are procrastinators.
There had been times I wanted to get a project or some other thing started right away.
One of my aunts, or a cousin, or other relative would tell me, "Oh do not be in such a hurry. You got lotsa time. You can always do this tomorrow".
That use to always get me irratated, and I would tell them, "A whole lot of tomorrows can go speeding by like the boxcars in a 90 mile per hour freight train, then what gets accomplished over many days is nothing".

They obviously don't understand how important it is to start something and finish it. When I get an idea, I always work to dispense it ASAP.

Obviously not. When I was a kid, I use to hear how some of my aunts, uncles and even my mom, when they were in their 30s and 40s, talk about one day I'm gonna do this, we really gotta do that, whata you say we get one of those, I'm gonna get this or that, I'm going to have a really nice garden, we're gonna have a recreation room added on to the house. It keeps on going over the years "one day" "one day" "one day""one of these days""one day"...
...And one day, when I'm in my 40s and 50s, I see them on their death bed in their 70s and 80s, and that "one day" never came.
