Too slow?

by
I feel that every artist that I know is fastest than me. I know I´m not an graphic artist, I prefer to be refered as a writer (a spanish one xD)...
But, seriously, how is possible to draw like one hundred sketches, color sketches and full colored works and still have time to hang out with friends and family, to play videogame, to read books and to write them?

Some times I think that most artist sold their soul xD or just give up their lifes to only draw like a machine without friends, family or stuff to do apart of drawing.

Or it is just me being slow because the poor management of my time?

Because most of them can afford better art tools..
I'm always fighting with computer stalls, graphics tablet driver malfunctions, program crashes and arm cramps.
Plus having lots of random ideas to sketch but I have to let those go undrawn & forgotten for the same reasons.

So if you can get better art tools like sai2 or clip studio, and somehow find a tablet that isn't a POS on a stable computer, then you can just sketch random ideas and complete whatever looks good.

xD I know that if you have a cintiq you can draw a little faster... but Im pretty sure that my problem it is not about tools quality. Even when I draw with panecil and paper, I need a lot of time to draw something.

xD And... well, I really like to draw, but draw it is not my profesion so I don´t want to use my money to buy profesional tools.

Thanks for your opinion ^^

It's a matter of resolve! Tools come after. I have the tools, but I cannot draw something original, completely off my own. And I also have self knowledge of yourself. For example, I know I can not draw like my favorite artists cause I haven't practiced much and I haven't put my mind into it as much as I should have. I get tired quickly and lose faith even faster. If I am not in the mood I can not draw. This is MY problem. But this is only the cause, the real problem is that, I know but I am not feeling the need to push my-self to go beyond my limits and get over my fouls mindset and my incompetence.

I believe that tools doesn't matter that much. What you need to draw is just a piece of paper, a rubber and a pencil or pen. If you think about it, it is actually that simple. How do you think Picasso and other world known artists learn how to draw. Even the first comic and manga artists started that way! Doesn't that count as something!

You must first question yourself , to know yourself. All the great people in the world just keep asking themselves that same question.  And if you know yourself, then you will understand what you want and what do you need to do about it. It is the Universal law, like the rain that falls, or the wind that blows! Just open your mind from yourself. You are the one that put your dream in a cell, only you have the key to unlock that cell that's in your mind.

Question if you don't believe me: ''Does Tools by themselves makes you better and faster, or does Wisdom and Experience makes you an expert on what you are doing?"

"Do you need some ''Expert'' tools to draw a line or a circle?''

If you can answer this, then you know what you have to do, -to be able to draw like one hundred sketches, color sketches and full colored works and still have time to hang out with friends and family, to play videogame, to read books and to write them? \

It is only a matter of resolve. If your resolve is weak, for any cause, then you'll still have the same results as now...

xD jajaja you sound like a self help book... and you are right about what you said, but Im not depressed or frustrated. I really enjoy to draw and I feel that I improve day by day. I really like what I do but I always want to be better so I always do my best.

But I really don´t know why Im so slow when I draw. xD Every friend of mine how is an artist is faster than me... And I know a lot of artist that post new drawS every week.
That why I really don´t want to do a live stream, I´m sure everyone will sleep before I finish the sketch part xD

Anyway, thank you very much for your answer. You really take your time to write and I really apreciate that.

Ηahahahaha! Yes, sometimes I talk like that, it's a habit. I'm like Shia LaBeouf lol XD. hahahahaha

As for what you sad at the end. I think it's because every person is different . for some drawing is like breathing air and for others like hitting a stone every day. You can call them, those with talent and those with no talent. The only difference is that those without talent  have to try 3 to 10 times harder!
