A little while later, we arrived at Pokecity and started heading toward Jirachi’s Wishes Café. Along the way, Oddish came up to us. “Hey there, guys.” he said cheerfully.
“Hi there, Oddish.” the three of us replied.
“What are you doing?” Oddish then asked us.
“Well, Candy, Matthew, and I are headed over to Jirachi’s Wishes Café to get some lunch.” Eve replied.
“Yeah. You’re welcome to come with us if you want.” I added.
“Nah. I’ll make my way over there some other time.” Oddish replied. “But I do hear that the food that they serve at that place is heavenly.” he then added.
“Oh, it really is. You would not believe how good all of this stuff is.” Candy then said to Oddish, peaking his interest into going.
“Especially the poffins and berry burgers.” I added in.
“Wow. I didn’t know that they were making berry burgers.” Eve then said, surprised by such a combination of foods.
“Yeah. Me neither. They sound like they would be really good.” Oddish added.
“Well, if you do want to come with us, you know where we’re going, Oddish.” I then said as we continued on our way.
“Okay. See you guys later.” Oddish said, waving to us as he then went on his way.
“Later.” the three of us called back, also waving. A couple of minutes later, we arrived at the place. I opened up the doors and let Candy and Eve enter. “Thanks, Matt.” Eve said as she was walking inside.
“No problem, Eve.” I replied as I then followed the girls inside. Seeing the inside of the place for the first time, Eve was both surprised and amazed that this place was not only big, but also clean. “They must have some highly-trained staff workers here because I have never been to a restaurant as clean as this.” she said as she was taking it all in.
“Why, I’m glad you find everything alright so far, miss.” a Meowth said as he approached us. He then escorted us to a table that suits four Pokemon at a time. When we were seated, the Meowth asked us what we would like to drink. Eve said that she would like some lemonade, Candy a glass of water, and me a glass of Moomoo milk. “Alright then. The drinks will be out in a few minutes.” Meowth then said as he went to the kitchen to get our drinks. We then turned towards one another. “So, what are you guys going to have to eat?” Candy asked me and Eve.
“Well, the berry burgers did peak my interest when we were passing by Oddish, so I guess I’ll get a few of those along with some sweet poffins.” Eve replied.
“I think I’ll get some spaghetti, along with some egg rolls and some apples.” I said.
“Okay then. I’ll get some Leppa berry burgers, along with some dry poffins and a few yellow gummis.” Candy then said.
“Okay.” I responded as we then got up and got our food. When we got back to our table, we saw the Meowth from earlier setting our drinks on the table. “Thanks, sir.” I said as we sat down in our seats.
“No problem, you three. If there’s anything else you would like, just let me know.” Meowth replied as he then walked over to other customers to take care of them. Meanwhile, we were busy munching down on our food. When I looked at Eve, I could tell that she liked the berry burgers along with the sweet poffins. “So, how are the burgers, Eve?” I asked her.
“I have to admit, you two were right about these burgers. They do taste like heaven.” Eve replied.
“Well, I’m glad you like them, Eve.” Candy then said. Eve nodded her head and wrapped her tail around mine since she was sitting next to me. I was a bit surprised when she did that, but I quickly enjoyed the feeling of Eve’s tail around mine. “So, Candy…” I then said as I turned to Candy. “How do you think Kenneth’s doing?”
“Well… I think Kenneth’s doing fine.” Candy replied.
“It is quite a shame that he had to deal with his head hurting yesterday. Do you think Sugar’s looking after him?” Eve then said.
“Well, if I know the mind of a girl, she’s probably doing her best to take care of him until he fully recovers.” I then said.
“Yeah. You’re probably right, Matt.” Eve then said to me, a bit surprised that I would know a bit about the caretaking mind of a female.
After we ate our food, we sat at the table, rubbing our bellies. “Oh man. That was really good.” I said.
“It sure was. I don’t think I have room for dessert.” Eve added in.
“Yeah. That’s this restaurant for you sometimes.” Candy then said. As soon as Meowth gave us the bill, we paid it and left. As we were walking away from the restaurant, I turned to Eve and asked her, “What do you think of Jirachi’s Wishes Café, Eve?”
“It was simply amazing.” Eve said, displaying obvious signs of joy.
“Well, I’m glad that we could take you there, Eve.” I then said.
“Yeah. It really was a good idea to take Eve to that buffet place with us, Matthew.” Candy then said to me.
“It sure was, Candy.” I responded.
“Well, what should we do now?” Eve then asked us.
“Well, I’m curious to see how Kenneth’s doing.” Candy then said.
“Me too. Do you think we should go check up on him?” I added. Both Candy and Eve nodded their heads when they heard my question. “Okay then. Let’s go to Kenneth’s house.” I then said as we then started making our way to his house.
