With everything happening in my personal life right now, plus the fact that any stories I finish will just end up in the holding queue, I'm going to take a brief hiatus. Get my head back in the game. Find my muse again.
I'm in the process of finding a new place to live, probably in Baltimore, MD. It's still very reasonably close to my ex and our daughter, and it's where my siblings live. I've also started talking to someone new. I'm doing my very best to take things slow with her, considering everything else that's going on, but the spark and chemistry is definitely there. While we haven't had sex or anything yet, we've compared notes on our likes and dislikes and it seems like we are extremely compatible in that regard. Our phone calls always last over an hour, and while we do have the occasional pause in conversation, it's never awkward. Apparently we are also exchanging an average of 378 text messages per day. She's also older than me, which is new. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Anyway, that's that. I'm doing much better now, but thank you to everyone that offered their support when I announced the breakup. I hope you are all doing well.
As much as I am on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what happens between Odette and Rashi, I have to say that you take the time you need to take care of yourself. Rashi can just doodle in her sketch book and I can patiently wait until your life calms down :)

I know what it is like to be suddenly single and then starting to see someone again, you worry that every moment you can do or say something that brings everything crashing down around you again.
